A great first Transatlantic!

Overview A fantastic vacation! We love the smaller ships and this one did not disappoint. They have a very friendly staff in all parts of the ship. The food was very good the entertainment was mostly excellent. We booked the Vision for a TA next year, so that says something I guess. Embarkation A snap. Tampa is a great port. The Diamond line seemed longer than the regular line, but not ...

We did back to back cruises on this ship from Tampa, FL to Venice Italy. We thoroughly enjoyed the trans-Atlantic crossing, but did have some issues with the ship. It is definitely one of their older liners and could certainly use a major update. Our cabin was large, clean and comfortable with an unusual amount of storage which we appreciated for such a long cruise. There were, however, some ...

We chose this cruise because of the great cost! It was our first transatlantic cruise with 7 other people. The ship had it's 20th birthday while traveling, party was entertaining. The ship is older and smaller than the new ships. It was kept very clean, I viewed many staff members shining brass during the wee hours of the night. The cabin was a little small for 3 people but kept clean. I would ...

We´ve been nearby Tampa for holiday and used the cruise to travel back home instead of an exhausting flight. And.... we love cruises :o) So, the trip with the Rhapsody of the seas came just in time and we enjoined every single day. We enjoined very much the shows and the entertainment events that happened every evening! The daily Diner was great too and the service of both Clarissa and Myra with ...

Ship instead of plane

First Time Cruiser • Age 80s

First time cruise because spouse did not want to fly. The Rhapsody is the right size ship. Captain took a course avoiding rough water. Worst movement was no different than flying in turbulence. Really enjoyed talking to all the different crew members. Appreciated the First Officers two meeting wit veterans. My wife and I had a nice conversation Mr Lena. We also like the Parade of Nations by the ...

A once in a lifetime experience - so bad that it will never be repeated.

We were disappointed by the way that we were treated from the first day to the next to the last. We were in an owners suite and were treated like we were in steerage. The only time that we were accorded the status that we paid for was the last day because we actually were escorted off the ship first without having to wait for everybody else. Out of 28 dinners served, 26 were warm or ...

The Rhapsody was over all very poor, the staff were great that is all that is keeping this ship going, too bad the company can not see that but still cut crew. Dinner every night was cool even though we complained about it nothing was done until the 11 night when our headwaiter Alexandru took care to give us hot food for the last 3 nights, it was very nice he did that but he should not have to ...

Transatlantic relocation: good value, but a bit boring with 7 days sea time

Cheap way to get to Europe, sea view cabin on deck 3, $625 each + gratuities. Smaller boat, mostly older passengers (50+), very few children (which was just as well, since the RotS doesn't have a lot to offer for younger passengers!). Food was good in all restaurants. The anytime dinning service was exceptionally good once we settled into the same section/time every night. The serving ...

To make our trip to Europe. We did meet many People and made some friends. We also enjoyed the Nightly Entertainment, which was very good. I'm sorry to say that the Dinner menu was not what it used to be, like on our trips before this one. I have to say that the Bar drinks went up a lot since I was Cruising in Mach 2017, there are now $ 12.00 a drink. Also we took a land tour in Cartagena ...

We have just returned from an extended vacation on Rhapsody (28 days). We experienced one of the best cabin attendants and generally some of the nicest people we have met in the cruise industry. They honestly worked hard to make sure our cruise was special. The Main Dining Room staff was very efficient in My Time Dining. The Windjammer always had "hot food hot and cold food cold" to use a ...
