New Zealand well worth seeing

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Ovation of the Seas

We chose this cruise for it’s size as we always wanted to visit New Zealand and have always heard sailing is rough/rocky, so we decided we wanted to go on a large ship which cruised to New Zealand. Food in the paid restaurants was exceptional, in the dining rooms and whinjammer were ordinary. The ports and the excursions were great and sailing through the sounds was amazing. Entertainment was ...

There were 6 of us traveling, ranging in ages from 42 to 62. We were celebrating my friend's 50th birthday and we booked the cruise some 12 months earlier as she had never visited New Zealand. DH and I have cruised with RCCL previously on several occasions. Other friends are seasoned cruisers who have never cruised with Royal. We arrived in Sydney the day before the cruise and stayed at the ...

A new ship and we love the ships we have been on. Voyager, Radience, Adventure, Explorer. The Ovation is first rate. Extremely friendly staff, all helpful, pleasant and happy. The facilities on the Ovation are wonderful. Bump cars, sports, full size basketball court plus I fly, Northern Star, rock climbing, flow rider etc plus great live entertainment. Food could be a little better but still ...

We just sailed on Ovation of the Seas to New Zealand with a party of 10 between 11 and 76. Like others I was concerned abut the lines and waiting times on the ship due to the number of passengers. There were 4913 on board. I don't see what others are complaining about, the longest we lined up for dinner at my time dining (we were a party of 10) was approx 5 mins. we had a standard reservation ...

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Radiance of the Seas

This was our 6th cruise with RCI (just made Diamond status) and 2nd on Radiance of the Seas. Were keen to sail on her again after our first trip to NZ. IMHO Radiance is just the right size for a cruise ship and all parts of the ship are easily accessible and navigate due it's simple layout. When she was launched she was the most advanced cruise ship on the waves but now, as lovely as she is, she ...

This was the only time we could get off from our business so decided to look for something all inclusive and in one place and to cover New Year. From the ease of boarding, the cleanliness, the super efficient service, the facilities, the food choices, the entertainment, the new friends and the sheer relaxation confirmed we had made the right choice. We loved the bed and pillows in our Balcony ...

Loved everything. Service was great especially our room steward and main dining room. Some bar staff not as friendly but speed of service was okay. Not a big fan of windjammer but loved the dining room and pizza qt cafe promonade. Plenty of dining options to find something to taste. Entertainment directors could have been more entertaining. Missed a sailaway party and more bands live music ...

Take me back to Australia/ New Zealand

This was my favorite cruise vacation. The Ovation is amazing. Its different than most of the RCCL fleet but didn't take long to get used to. The staff was outstanding. The food wasn't much different than any other ship. It was good. We went to Chops, Wonderland and my favorite, Jaime's but in reality we would have been just as happy in the dining room. The Diamond lounge was on deck 4, the staff ...

We chose this cruise because we love cruising and being the newest, biggest ship we thought it would be the ship our family would enjoy the most with the fun activities on board. We travelled with two Teenage children ages 15 & 17. Embarkation went surprisingly smoothly having 5000 ppl on board. We chose not to be in a hurry to avoid disappointment. Cabin was 7706 & 7708 and was modern and ...

Embarkation - We elected to embark early at 11:30 to beat the crowds. Process was very quick and easy provided you had followed RCIs instructions to upload photos and information before arrival. For those that didn't do this (many) the process was more lengthy. Whilst not a long delay the processing through security and scanning took the longest - only three x-ray machines ...
