We have very few fixed weeks of vacation each year, and this was one of them. Took my 89 year old dad and handicapped nephew, hoping to find some interesting ports and ship entertainment and quality family time.
The ship has NOT been renovated. Furnishings, both soft and hard goods, are old and worn. The Hallways smell strongly of must, mold and mildew. Rooms were better, however when moving ...
We choose this cruise for a couple of reasons. It was our first cruise since covid and some serious health issues. It was sailing out of Galveston so it was a short drive. We would be on board for my wife's 80th birthday, so a great celebration. And, although we have cruised about a dozen times on Royal, we had never been on one of the monster ships. We wanted to give it a shot.
First, it ...
I chose this cruise for the ports, especially Iceland. I could go on and on about the wonderful ports. My sister raved about Royal Caribbean so we thought we would try it. The coffee bar needs improvement, the servers were slow and they would punch your card twice if you asked for a medium coffee. The coffee was not not the best. The pastries were stale everyday, how is that possible? Only once ...
We've been cruising since the 1970's with RCCL and are Diamond level customers. We will not cruise with RCCL again !!! RCCL has cut back on selections and the quality of the meats served in the Main Dining Room and Windjammer Buffet.
We paid $8K for an 8 day cruise with a spacious balcony cabin, drink packages, one specialty dinner and The Key.
The very least RCCL could do is serve a ...
I quit. Cruisin with Royal Caribbean since 1999 and am a Pinnacle level (top tier) member. In the earlier days, the RCL cruises were more classy cruises with beautiful dinners and professional staff. We fell in love and stayed loyal for years. But over the years, RCL built more ships and became money hungry. They increased room capacity on all the ships, cut back on many elements that made ...
Cruise was chosen because of destinations and the fact that we were boarding from Baltimore… great port! I can’t say enough about the staff on Vision! Great service.. So friendly.. went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful trip… Altogether there were 9 of us traveling together there was supposed to be 12, but a last minute accident changed this.. we all booked our trips separately, but ...
Just got home from the Freedom of the Seas July 31, 2023 cruise from Miami. I have been cruising over 50 years with 6 different cruise lines and while I always found RCL to be a class above most other cruise lines I find I can no longer boast of RCL’s top notch status.
Yes, I realize as an older person I recall the days of excellence and being spoiled while cruising and find it sad our younger ...
My Immediate family of 10 had so much fun on this cruise. Coco Cay was the best! The snorkeling was fantastic (no excursion). The free buffet excellent, especially the philly beef steak sandwiches.
The splash away bay outstanding for the kids!
Our cabins were very clean with outstanding service and comfortable beds.
Steel band was excellent! Ice show very enjoyable! Silent Disco the most ...
First ever cruise. We chose this cruise for its ports of call. Very impressed with the overall experience. Very good food, very clean ship. Staff was very accommodating to our requests, letting us pick our dining time and ensuring we had wine glasses in our room every night. We had a private excursion in Santorini at 830am and were told to wait in the conference room with others and we were ...
We wanted to sail to Alaska with family living near Vancouver, so we chose the Royal Caribbean Brilliance of the Sea cruise from Vancouver to Sitka, Juneau, Skagway and Haines. The itinerary was fine, but RC’s processes and crew downsizing caused some real problems. The first issue was the process for departure from Vancouver. The embarkation process was a nightmare, with numerous personnel ...
