From the time I parked my car until I was onboard took no more than 30 minutes! Most of that time was spent getting from the car to the terminal. This really was the best boarding I have ever experienced (this is our 14th cruise).
I must admit that the activity I look forward to the most, is eating. I am happy to report we were not disappointed by anyplace we ate, with the exception of the. ...
My wife and I have cruised Allure twice this past year. Both experiences were good. The service was outstanding both times and there are plenty of things to do onboard.
For both cruises we booked a balcony cabin. The only disappointing thing about the cabins were the lack of electrical and USB receptacles. The cabin has one small receptacle with 3 outlets that are very close together. There ...
This is my 27th review for Cruise Critic. Unlike some reviewers that join this group just to complain about a bad experience, I have, for the past 10+ years felt obliged to write about my cruise experiences. I am a professional writer in another life which tends to make my reviews long and thorough. If you want to know simply if we liked our time on the Oasis, just count the stars. If you want to ...
I have never sailed on an Oasis class ship. So we choose this ship for that experience and also it was sailing out of Bayonne, N.J. Which is only an hour and a half ride for us.
Embarkment and departure from the ship was so easy and quick. No waiting in line, straight in, sea pass was scanned from phone, off to x-ray, sent to counter with no one ahead of us .. sea pass scanned again and ...
Check in smooth. Room ready at 2ish. Every single day charges applied to card for mandatory gratuities. Watch out as 18% added to drinks purchased automatically.
Ship is very tired in places and needs refitted. Rusty balconies. Filthy glass on balcony. And outside areas
Staff are fabulous. And doing their best with a ship that’s had it.
Food in windjammer is mass produced rubbish. ...
I had never been on a RC cruise prior to this one and will never cruise with them again. The layout of the ship, it's pretty much impossible to find a comfy QUIET spot that is peaceful without hoards of people constantly walking by. The adult only section is smack in the middle of the boat that you have to pass through if trying to get anywhere. It is not relaxing and quiet unless you remain on ...
As with all RC ships, it's in great shape and they keep it very clean. The majority of staff are ultra friendly and welcoming. The indoor promenade is something I really like about this class of ship, and this one did not disappoint. It has an indoor shopping mall feel that for some reason I really like.
It's a big ship, but it's not so big that that you cringe at the thought of having to walk ...
Overview
My family and I are avid cruisers. We go on at least 2 to 3 cruises a year. Last year we did Disney and then Celebrity. This year we decided to give Royal Caribbean a try. Let me tell you that this cruise, on the Freedom of the Seas, was not only the worst cruise experience I have ever had but one of the worst vacation experiences I have ever had. I would avoid this at ALL costs and ...
Worst cruise I’ve ever been on . First time giving Royal Caribbean a try and I regret spending money booking this cruise . Food was horrible. It was so crowded and no where to sit to eat . It was full of seniors not that it’s a problem but when you have kids a seniors boat isn’t a good choice . Old lady pooped in the pool and jacuzzi they closed it . No activities to do extremely boring . The ...
I recently took the ship’s September 25 four night sailing from Port Canaveral to Nassau and Perfect Day at Coco Cay. Overall, I had a nice time, but there were some challenges.
First the good.
Without doubt, Royal Caribbean’s biggest asset is its crew. With the exception of my room attendant (more on that later), every one of the staff was courteous, accommodating and couldn’t do enough to ...
