Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Adventure of the Seas

The ship and staff was mostly good. Not outstanding. Our dining waitress was great, and the head waiter was very attentive. Did not like that the solarium and pool bars opened late, no morning Bloody Mary. The staff failed to invite me to the Cruise Critic gathering, and to the Crown and Anchor party. The staff messed up my Visa card registration and charged it all to my travel ...

In light of the disaster in PR....

We chose to go on this cruise in March of 2017 after going on a 3 day cruise to the Bahama's which was very nice. We had a good time overall but had several glitches including airline changes which were attributed to the issues in PR. Our room on arrival had some sort of water issue with the carpet outside the bath and closet being wet. The staff had a blower going when we arrived. It took 3 ...

I'd like to start off and recognize our waiters Saturnino and Komang. They were so friendly, attentive, anticipated our requests, went out of their way to get to know us, and made us feel special by providing extra options/additions. we did 3 excursions--all were great! Plantation and Beach in St. Kitts, Beach and Turtles in Martinique, and Atlantis Submarine in Barbados. We celebrated ...

We had a great time on our Adventure cruise. The food was wonderful and the service in the dinning room was excellent. Of course there were more things to do than time to do them, but we made the most of our time. Our room was good, but the bathroom had a urine odor at time. One the last day (our only at sea day) we had a pipe break and our room flooded. I think they did the best they could to ...

Originally wanted to stay in Puerto Rico for a few days. The hurricane cancelled those plans for us. The islands we did visit. St. Kitts, Antigua, St.Lucia, Martinique, Barbados were all beautiful and the people friendly. Easy to find a taxi driver to take you were you wanted and made sure you were going to a safe beach, etc. Our focus was water activities, swim , snorkel, surf and jet ski. ...

Could have been a better score but for poor customer service

Overall the cruise was mostly enjoyable. However where we were most let down was by the pre-booked flights arranged for us by Royal Caribbean. One week before departure a connecting flight was changed causing the entire booking needing alteration, had I not contacted them myself I don't think anything would have been done. Despite calling almost every day we arrived at the airport, 6.30am to ...

Fantastic cruise out of San Juan!!

We chose this cruise because even though it was the tail end of the hurricane season, the Southern Caribbean is rarely involved, so we chose San Juan as our departure port, with stops in Bonaire, Curacao, Aruba, and then St. Maarten. There were 8 people in our party, my parents (in their early 70's but neither look or act like it), my 2 siblings and their spouses, and me and my husband. Well, ...

A Long Awaited Cruise Vacation

The cruise price was fair. Amenities good. A bit too noisy at times. Would have preferred an area(s) for relaxation and tranquility instead of the stateroom. However, the ship was beautifully designed; food was well prepared and presented to guests. The waiters were cordial and remembered by name those who were being served. Pleasant and courteous staff and willing to direct and help when ...

I have never cruised before. I choose this cruise, as my wife gifted me with this for my birthday and then proceeded to have me plan it. She wanted to do the southern Caribbean. I read other reviews and found that Royal Caribbean would probably be a good fit for us, we are in our 40's. Our original cruise date was 9/30, but that was cancelled, so we rebooked for 10/21. All of that went really ...

We chose this cruise because of the itinerary and the dates that it was offered. We celebrated our wedding anniversary on the cruise and had an amazing time. We travelled with our 2 children, ages 9 and 12. They did not go to Adventure Ocean as it was filled with Spanish speakers. We thoroughly enjoyed all the islands, Aruba, Curacao and Bonaire. We thought that after those islands, going to ...
