Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Jewel of the Seas

We chose this cruise because of the itinerary and because the dates worked with what we needed. Price was within our budget. Overall, we were disappointed with Jewel of the Seas. We wondered if the crew was either new, or jaded. It was hard to tell. The service was not like what we have experienced before. The food quality in the Main Dining Room was poor, as was the service. Mistakes were made ...

My girlfriend and I chose this cruise because of the Southern Caribbean itinerary and the reputation for Royal Caribbean cruise line and it seemed like a unique way to spend Thanksgiving with all of our kids being out of town this year. FOOD Overall, it was just OK to disappointing. The main dining room, The Tides, meals were mediocre at best. While the service was good, the food itself ...

My experience in the Jewel Of The Seas

It was a fantastic experience. It is a large boat with a center in crystals and many balconies that allow you to appreciate the activities easily. Everything was very clean and organized. Upon arrival the cabin was beautiful and the balcony provided a spectacular view. The staff was very attentive and pleasant. The common areas had good access and were always clean. I really liked the variety of ...

First time on Royal

We chose this cruise because of the ports of call, leaving from San Juan gave us more options to hit more islands at the south end in a one week sailing. We really loved the boat overall, the promenade level was our type of thing. Boat is a bit worn, shows its age a bit in places. Was not a fan of what seemed like local people to fill the ship, that had got great deals to fill the boat. To find ...

Adventure of the Seas 11/18/17 San Juan, St. Kitts, Martinique, Antigua, St. Lucia, Barbados, San Juan Great cruise from a disaster area with friends I want to first start by praising Royal and panning them. I want to praise Royal for all the runs they made to bring emergency supplies to the Caribbean and getting stranded people home. I want to pan them for believing that Puerto Rico ...

Don't go on this ship, put Royal Caribbean as your last option.

Base on this experience Royal Caribbean will be my last option for a cruise company. I choose this ship for the reputation and it was the first time I travel with Royal. I had traveled with Celebrity Cruises and Carnival. The boarding process was the worst I had ever experienced. Room attendance was OK but was not friendly at all. Food Quality was horrible, even in the restaurant. Water had ...

We've been on this ship five other times, and this one did not disappoint. We love the itinerary, the ship, and the crew. Our only issues were upon embarkation. We live in Michigan, and our Enhanced IDs for the kids are WHTI compliant - meaning, they serve in place of having a birth certificate/passport for closed loop cruises. The person checking us in insisted they were not valid, and ...

Disappointed

After sailing Adventure of the Seas last year, we were expecting much of the same. Instead, the RC representative I spoke with prior to sailing was extremely rude and was talking over me and wanted to argue. Completely unprofessional and disrespectful to say the least. On board, we experienced obnoxious children in abundance running freely throughout the ship unsupervised, knocking on cabin ...

The boarding and disembarkation is well executed unfortunatley we did not have time to see Puerto Rico. Our cabin was quite nice loved the balcony and the staff overall is fabulous they go all out, there is lots to do onboard andI liked the itinerary we loved the ports of call especially St Kitts, Antigua, St. Lucia and Barbados but found the locals in Martinique to not always be too friendly. ...

Embarkation was smooth, we arrive at port around 1pm and in 20 minutes I was having my first drink of the cruise. View of our aft cabin 8690 was excellent and cabin was always in great shape and always clean, balcony was bigger than expected. Service on Main Dinning was superior to our expectation, waiter Saturnino and assistant Melvin on table 471 were always looking to fulfill our requirements ...
