This was our fourth Royal Caribbean cruise in the past two years. Considering the changes and uncertainties to our trip due to the damage that the recent hurricanes did to the Caribbean, including three islands we were scheduled to visit and Puerto Rico, this was a pretty great cruise, overall. We flew in on the day of the cruise's departure, which was a first for us but necessary since booking ...

We booked this cruise in early summer because we had done it in February and loved it. Unfortunately it was not what we remembered. It started with the hurricanes. The prices dropped considerably (over $800 pp to below $250 pp for balcony). We called Royal and they upgraded us to a junior suite. Though the room was nice I don't think it made up for the incredible drop in price. Also the ...

My sisters chose the cruise and made all the arrangements. An excellent choice of which, we plan to repeate in the near future. I would recommend this type of holiday and this cruise ship in particular to the rest of my friends and family. I loved the freedom to move around, to eat from the variety of scrumptious choices offered and the cleanness of the eating areas. i felt safe and was ...

Not My RCCL

We flew into San Jaun the afternoon of the cruise and took advantage of RCCL Transfers which were later reimbursed by RCCL. The Transfer was timely and uneventful. Check-in was quick and easy as there were no lines for priority check-in. We noted that there was the smell of mold in some passageways and were disappointed to find our cabin in the same condition. Some cruisers we later spoke with ...

Average cruise on Adventure OTS

We chose this cruise because it went to Aruba and Curacao. These islands are fantastic. Unfortunately, Puerto Rico and St.Thomas are not up to par as of December 1 2017. St.Kitts was the 4th stop and the hurricane damage was less notable. The Adventure OTS has dated decor and the entertainment variety was unimpressive (aside from the ice show). This level of entertainment is something I would ...

November 25th, 2017 Sailing from San Juan Passenger’s Log We chose this particular cruise aboard Royal Caribbean’s Adventure of the Seas because we like to sail the week after Thanksgiving when there are not many children on the ship. Also we were repeating a very enjoyable experience of traveling with two other couples same time last year. I researched other reviews before writing this ...

Love the ship decorated for the holidays and the crew are always wonderful. Shows weren’t up to RCCL standard they were too loud and just plain boring There were hardly any guests in the theater so that explains how loud it was there wasn’t anything to buffer the noise. The Platters were ok for a copy cat band. The original Platters would have been in wheel chair or walkers. the ...

My experience in the Jewel Of The Seas

It was a fantastic experience. It is a large boat with a center in crystals and many balconies that allow you to appreciate the activities easily. Everything was very clean and organized. Upon arrival the cabin was beautiful and the balcony provided a spectacular view. The staff was very attentive and pleasant. The common areas had good access and were always clean. I really liked the variety of ...

Special Diet needs? Don't take Royal!

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Jewel of the Seas

Took Jewel of the Seas on 7 night Southern Caribbean. 1. I have lactose and gluten intolerance. I understand it is very limited diet and difficult to meet my needs, so dinners had to be pre-order 24 hrs in advance. I was fine with that. Unfortunately, for entire week, as side dishes, I was served baked potatoes, steamed broccoli and carrots. In the end of the cruise I was very tired of baked ...
