Nice Cruise. Plus and Minuses - Really Bad Food

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Adventure of the Seas

10 family members cruised (many for the first time) for a family holiday. The destinations were all awesome, even St. Thomas (even though it was clearly sad to see the devastation is still rampant). The stops were very appealing and we chose this cruise because of its ports of call. They did not disappoint. Pros: This is a large ship with a lot to do. It is clean and the staff goes ...

We chose this Christmas cruise as our company closes over the Christmas period and this was one of the destinations available. Overall we had a wonderful time. Our stateroom was lovely and spacious. Food choice was amazing and alcohol served were top brands. Ship was very clean indeed and we were constantly encouraged to wash our hands to stop infections. Also numerous anti bacterial hand ...

This cruise was a holiday party boat, rather than a magical Christmas cruise.

We went on this cruise 2 years ago and had a wonderful magical Christmas experience. Not so this year. Very little traditional Christmas music playing, obnoxious cruise director, loud parties and events, stressed out staff members and much more. It felt like the cruise had evolved into the younger crowd party boat and very few middle to upper-age guests were fitting in, or even wanting too. We ...

Cruise was chosen for the hot weather and the cool islands to check out. Definitely would go again. Lots to do and see, great food and events onboard and the excursions were expertly organized. The onboarding process was smooth and it was quick and easy to book shore excursions. The shore excursions went off without a hitch and were awesome. Saw lots of sites, lots of variety in the tours and ...

My sister and her two grown up children are active Royal Caribbean cruise passengers, and because I knew they had much fun twice before in the "Jewel", I just went along with total confidence. And indeed, I had a great time on & off the ship. We arrived in San Juan two days before departing so that we could stroll the Old San Juan and eat local food. The embarkation as usual ran very well. I ...

We've sailed on The Jewel once before and found her to be pretty nice. However we didn't sail out of San Juan the first time. We had the option of cancelling our trip, but decided to wait it out as long as we could, because we wanted to support the country's economy following the hurricane. We followed updates and things seemed to bounce back fairly quickly, in San Juan anyway. We managed to ...

My husband and I cruise with Royal Caribbean once a year and have been on about 10 RC cruises. This was our 3rd time on the Jewel and it is by far one of our favorite ships. It is bright open and has many windows whether you are in the elevator, the lounges the bars or specialty restaurant you have a great view. The staff and crew are friendly and always great. The ship felt very clean and ...

Fantastic time on the Jewel

We chose this cruise for the itinerary, and we enjoyed a wonderful holiday cruise! The Windjammer had plenty of good options for all meals, and we only chose to eat in the Tides dining room twice due to the crowds. Check the menu board in the morning to decide if you want to dedicate 2 hours of your evening in the dining room! The ports of call were amazing, but the entertainment was pretty bad. ...

Affordable alternative to travel where You have almost everything at a arms length.. The ship is large with many theme restaurants, shops, pools, outdoor theater, sun decks, entertainment theaters, a casino and a lot of quiet places to relax, lie down, read, game room, library just to mention a few. The cabin was excellent, the dining alternatives, at he formal dining room and the windjammer lounge ...

This was our 3rd sailing on the Adventure of the Seas and it was the least impressive, from the standpoint of the condition of our cabin and of more than a few of the public spaces on board the ship. Oddly enough, it was also one of the best in terms of cordiality, friendliness and great service provided by various crew members. It was stated by some crew members that this particular sailing was ...
