Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Jewel of the Seas

This was our first time cruising and we found plenty to do on the boat. The meal options were great you could eat in the main dining room or choose fine dining. We could not fault the meals in the main dining room and they were different every night. The wait staff were excellent. If you could afford it I would go for a balcony cabin allowing some more room and fresh air. We did a couple of boat ...

Great service from Royal Caribbean staff!

Jewel of the Seas was a beautiful ship with friendly staff. The public spaces of the ship (e.g., Theater, Dining Rooms, Pool Decks, Lounges) were elegant and mostly big enough to hold a sizable number of the customers. Our room was spacious enough and our Stateroom attendant provided incredible service. Same service quality was true of our servers in the Tides Dining Room each night. We also ...

Fun destinations--but excursions are too early!

We enjoyed our cruise for the most part--our (family of 5 adults) biggest complaint was that they start their tours too early, some as early as 6:30am. Which meant you had to get up at 5am most days to be able to get ready and eat breakfast--which on 3 different days, we had to get something in our room because the main eating place was closed until 6:30am. Having to get up so early and be off ...

Used Dark Rome excursions for touring the colosseum and the Vatican and booked mt own hotel one night before the cruise. Extremely satisfied with that experience. Tried to take the train to the port for 15€ but the train was cancelled so we ended up spending 135€ for a taxi instead. Embarking was the smoothest I’ve ever experienced in cruising so far. It’s a relatively small ship, but ...

A good cruise while you were on the ship, however when we were due to depart and there was a airport strike, the ship did not care, had no support and was “abandoned” on the shore line, we booked the flights through RC, however no ownership or support was offered, I am 44, so capable of dealing with this, however there were elderly people and families that could not cope! A bad experience to the ...

We chose this cruise for the itinerary and time of year. We were in an Owner's (Vivaldi) Suite and loved all the perks. The highlight was the Concierge Lounge on 13 with great food and ever-flowing drinks. It also included a Captain's Reception and tour of the deck. It was a luxury well worth the cost. Surprisingly poor was most of the musical entertainment. I'd recently been on a much ...

Family celebration, the Greece and Italy incredible and our dining room staff were very versatile they can serve, dance and sing made our trip fun and happy. Every port a new adventure full of history and colour. The locals were all friendly and more than happy to spend time with you. English was not a problem they spoke it well. There was a huge mix of nationalities on the ship and that was fun. ...

Always wanted to take Transatlantic cruise. I am glad we did it and with Royal Caribbean. We can't think of any bad experience all the way. All the crew, food and entertainment was excellent. We are already thinking about next cruise with RCI. Starting from check-in and right up to disembarking at Civitivecchia the whole experience was very positive. Had similar experience with every stop ...

We had been to Italy before but not Greece. It was 10 nights and we thought that was a perfect amount of time. We loved getting to see Sicily and 5 different Greek Islands was very appealing. We also took an excursion to the Isle of Capri when we docked in Naples. The ship was very clean nothing fancy but everyone on board was very friendly and the service for the most part was very good. We ...

The ship was beautiful, well kept up and very clean. Lots of windows to bring the outdoors inside. We stayed in an inside cabin (#8627) which was surprisingly roomy for a family of 3. Dinner at the main dinning room was amazing and the wait staff was outstanding. The Windjammer buffet was a bit disappointing. The quality of the food just wasn't there and the options/selections were pretty ...
