This was our first time cruising and we found plenty to do on the boat. The meal options were great you could eat in the main dining room or choose fine dining. Jewel of the Seas was a beautiful ship with friendly staff. The public spaces of the ship (e.g., Theater, Dining Rooms, Pool Decks, Lounges) were elegant and mostly big enough to hold a sizable number of the customers. We enjoyed our cruise for the most part--our (family of 5 adults) biggest complaint was that they start their tours too early, some as early as 6:30am. Which meant you had to get up at 5am most days to be able to get ready and eat breakfast--which on 3 different days, we had to get something in our room because the main eating place was closed until 6:30am. We chose this cruise for the itinerary and time of year. We were in an Owner's (Vivaldi) Suite and loved all the perks. The highlight was the Concierge Lounge on 13 with great food and ever-flowing drinks. It also included a Captain's Reception and tour of the deck. It was a luxury well worth the cost.
