Staff is exceptional- they go out of their way to make sure you are having the trip of a lifetime. If you need ANYTHING they go above and beyond to make sure your need are net. Honestly, the service is first class. The boat is always kept very clean, the food is great with a ton of options for everyone, and the ports are beautiful! They put their guests/customers first and are very efficient in ...

Having traveled many times on RCCL in the Caribbean, we felt we had a good knowledge of what to expect on this cruise and the ship. Although the ship and ships staff is as good as any other of the RCCL fleet, we were disappointed on a variety of aspects. Food was marginal. I was served burnt gnocchi, 2 over baked desserts, underdone steak, overdone steak, etc. The other meals and the food in ...

I had such a pleasant experience on the Western Mediterranean Cruise with Jewel of the Seas. The ship had amazing staff and crew, delicious and abundant food, unbelievable efficiency, great facilities, top notch service, comfortable cabins, and more. They anticipated my needs before I knew them which was very impressive. The ship itself looked new because it was spotless! You couldn't tell it was ...

Royal Caribbean's Quality has Slipped Significantly

Western Mediterranean Cruise: Great ports of call, however excursions fail to interest. Service in food, drink and stateroom preparation are excellent, but rest of ship staff (front desk, loyalty, security, and excursions) are disinterested, unaccommodating, and quick to try to push issues to other departments. Quality of food and selection inferior to Caribbean cruises with many of ...

Wonderful experience with beautiful ship and crew members

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Jewel of the Seas

I was overwhelmed with the service, cleanliness, safety regulation and checking (screening) when entering/exiting the ship, the beauty of the ship with so many possibilities, design, etc. It was very easy and quick to embark on board and to leave the ship. very organized even if many, so many people were travelling on board. The ship moves so quietly as if it stays put (not moving at all). The ...

I picked this cruise based on destinations and activities for all ages and we were not disappointed. Ages ranged from 3 to 73 and there was a full schedule for all if wanted. We all had a great time and have recommended it to lots of friends and family since coming back. Definitely value for money. Was surprised at ease of disembarking and embarking at ports as had heard there could be long ...

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Jewel of the Seas

We are first time cruises, so maybe not the right ones to judge, however I felt we had really hit it lucky. Jewel is not too big or too small. The ship is spotless and almost all the staff are friendly and helpful. Our room was 4530 ocean view family, a bit small when we were all in together but perfectly adequate.. our room attendant was fantastic and our funny towels at the end of each day ...

The itinerary is what bumped my rating to 4 - the rest of the trip is what kept it from being 5. I'll just lead with this: I am a Disney girl through and through. I have cruised other lines and of those have been most happy with Royal Caribbean if not doing Disney. I am generally a fan of Royal Caribbean's Radiance Class ships (nothing bigger...definitely no Behemoths of the Seas sized girls) - ...

We sailed the Jewel of the seas as being our first cruise with Royal Caribbean. Previously, last year we sailed on MSC Meraviglia, then the 4th largest liner in the world, therefore Jewel of the seas is Much Smaller. That meant initially we didn’t have high expectations. But it turned out to be better than all our other cruises. I will split this review into many sections. Embarkation: We ...
