Great food and accommodation, some disappointing aspects

Positive: we had a crown loft suite which is excellent and the cabin steward was excellent; we used the Coastal Kitchen most days and the food and service was also excellent as good as any great restaurant; There is a separate suites sun deck with private bar and whirlpool bath; The shows very good. Negative: The rides are only open at certain times during the day and given that there are so ...

What an impressive trip!

Words cannot express the feeling on board the Symphony of the Seas. The vibe is something to be experienced. The ship is best described as a floating resort! Clean staterooms, friendly staff, and always something to do are only a few of the impressive things about Symphony of the Seas. The Royal Promenade is something that leaves you speechless every time, and contrary to what many reviewers ...

We chose this cruise for the itinerary which was great. We enjoyed having two days in Rome prior to the cruise. We had been there before but were able to do a couple of things that were on our bucket list. We stayed at the Starhotels Michelangelo which was great. A 5 minute walk to the Vatican and 15 min walk to Vatican Museums. Location was also good to walk to restaurants. We didn't have to take ...

Beautiful Ship, Lots to do, Tons of People - Still Loved It

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Symphony of the Seas

Background: The Symphony of the Sea is the largest ship we have been on. Our other cruise ships have been for around 3000 people so we wanted to try a larger ship and the Mediterranean cruise was on our punch list. We are over 60 and very active - but hopefully the information helps you understand our comments. Short summary (more after this) Pros: Lots of things to do and all of it ...

We chose Symphony of the Seas because it was a brand new ship and we wanted to give the children the opportunity to experience a cruise which could offer so many on-board experiences. We were a little apprehensive prior to sailing as some of the reviews we read had been negative, however, we should not have worried. The ship was beautiful - the service was second to none and we had an ...

we booked the 7 night cruise leaving from Rome port. It is the easiest check ever, everything is electronic and mostly paperless We were in a superior balcony cabin and the set out was fantastic Plenty of storage space loved the size of the show and colour scheme was great In terms of things to do where should I start, it just goes on and on and in my view nobody does on board ...

don't know where to start. amazing ship, amazing staff, amazing shows, endless facilities. Never a dull moment, so much to do and discover. Never did any of the speciality restaurants as we felt we had already paid enough but were happy with the choices and service in the MDR. We avoided the windjammer buffet as it was often packed but that led us to breakfast in the Park Café which was just what ...

What a joke this Ship and Cruise line is, stay with Disney, never again

They cancel everything without telling you. Boat is WAY too crowded. Food is poor and you better likes long lines for everything. Never again on this or any other Royal Carribean ship. This was a poor experience from the start with the phone based agents being both non informed and not helpful. On-line reservations are hard to navigate and will not stick if you make any reservations prior to ...

First cruise in years!

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Symphony of the Seas

We chose the itinerary and found out later that we were on the biggest ship. We embarked in Rome although most passengers embarked in Barcelona. Since only about 20% of the ship was embarking, it was great! We walked right on and had no delays or lines. The port is about an hour from Rome. We are empty-nesters and had not picked the ship for all the family activities. If you are looking for ...

I have never been on a cruise but would like to recommend everyone to give it a go. Great experience and staff are very highly trained. I would like to thank Subash and his team and a big thank you to Stanney and Akshay for looking after out dietary needs. I will recommend it to all my friends and family. The experience was planned second by second and the check in and checkout process was ...
