Not what was expected!

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Enchantment of the Seas

There were many factors that were not pleasing. As a first time cruse for me and my wife, I think we will try another cruse line for our next trip. Royal Caribbean was recommended to us by friends, and we lack the experience to compare, but it wasn't what we expected. 1). Our room smelled terrible when we first arrived. 2). Since we travelled alone we relied mainly on the photographers to take our ...

The inside of the ship was very clean and the majority of the staff was outstanding. Our cabin was kept very clean with fresh towels and ice delivered every day. The food in the main dining room was very good and the quality of food at the Windjammer was above average. As with other cruise lines, the bar/waiter staff on the pool deck is relentless. Most people want to spend their time by the ...

Amazing staff but dated ship

This was my first cruise and I was expecting the ship to be modern and swanky but the ship itself is very dated, also rusty on the outside. We didn't opt to upgrade our room as we weren't cruising for the stateroom but I will add that the queen/king bed is actually two twin beds pushed together and not that comfy. The food was overall very good but having different options offered each day would ...

We would like to experience Royal Caribbean since this was not our first cruise and it was so much fun. Anyway we would like to experience a bigger and new ship. I missed more fun for teens but in overall it was ok Ship and navigation was perfect even when we passed a huge storm but it is a little old and there are some details you can notice specially when I compare with Norwegian ( we did two ...

Great first cruise! Impressive for one of the "small" boats :)

The boat was so much fun and I wish we had one more full day of cruising. It would have been nice to spend more time at CocoCay instead of Nassau. Next time I know to stay on the boat instead of walking around the Nassau shops. I wish I knew that you had to choose an embarkation time and reserve it. We didnt get on the boat until 1:30! and they started at 10:30. I thought it was first-come ...

We chose this cruise for my husband, myself and our 10 year old son. We had heard some great things about Adventure Ocean and were excited for our son to have some fun on his own so that my husband and I could have some time together. This cruise definately had some pros and cons. We originally booked a stateroom with a balcony but were contaced by Royal Caribbean to upgrade to a Jr. Suite ...

A well proportioned activity for teens and adults.

We choose RCCL because of our loyalty for each other. This cruise was an introduction to our grandchildren. I felt comfortable with the “safe” destinations especially the private island of Coco Cay. Our grandchildren are 16 yrs and 14 yrs old. They enjoyed the teen program which gave my husband and I time for ourselves also. Service in the formal dining room was great. Linen tablecloths ...

My husband and I really chose this cruise because due to work we had to choose our dates and THEN our cruise. Luckily it was between Norwegian and Royal Caribbean and we chose Royal due to better reviews. I am very glad we did, as we had a wonderful time. Entertainment was really good, food was delicious, and service was exceptional. I didn’t give 5 stars for a few reasons, none of which were trip ...

I was a little worried when we booked this cruise because I couldn't find any recent reviews and most reviews only talked about how dated the ship looked. I shouldn't have worried. The cruise was wonderful! We had a great time! We chose this cruise so that we could spend a couple of nights at the Universal theme parks before we left and so that we could stop in the Bahamas because we have not ...

Excellent experience on this ship! The service from the stateroom attendant, to the dining attendants, as well as the guest service agents at the port was outstanding. Everyone was very accommodating and friendly. The entertainment on board was fantastic, and family-friendly. There was a variety of things for everyone to do. However, we felt the youth program on board for ages 9-11 was not ...
