Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Anthem of the Seas

First off, there were a lot of good things, but my wife and I both feel the Royal Caribbean PR Team deserves a standing ovation, for they "sold" this to be a lot better than what was actually experienced. Realize that what you see in brochures and on TV/online advertisements paint a picture that just doesn't live up. (Yes, most of what they show IS possible, but a lot of sacrifices - time and ...

We chose this cruise because it was over a week long 9 nights and was in a local port. Although I have a long list of complaints, I think overall the cruise was very good. Pros: Crew was excellent and made sure you were taken care of. Ports and the excursions I took were good. I enjoyed the Dining very much and the Waiters made the dining experience very fun. Shows were also good. We got ...

Anthem of the Seas

We chose this cruise to travel with a few families. This was our daughter's Sweet Sixteen option in lieu of a party, along with four other friends and their families. Although we made the best of it, we all found the ship to be overwhelmingly large. As a result of the size, the staff was not able to service with attention to detail. The food was well below par and for such a large ...

My friend invited me along on her company vacation. To describe this cruise in one word would be "Effortless" every part of it. The dining and food was outstanding...our waiter Lito & Akhaya help to make our experience that much better - they remembered everything! The days just cruising were relaxing, with so many activities. The spa was lovely, especially the thermal suite with heated beds, ...

The ship , the port, the staff, made the choice easy. Went by so fast. More than enough to do. Can not get to everything you would like to do. There is so many things to do. Kids just love the boat. Everyone enjoyed there stay. A no-brainer ,to do this boat. Only thing we did not like was the Wonderland restaurant. The Spa was great. Serrenttos pizza is a must. Seaplex Hotdog stand was good. ...

Worst Cruise Ever

This was my 5th cruise, but my first on Royal Caribbean. It was definitely the worst cruise I've been on so far. The ship is just too large, too crowded, and there are lines for everything. Activities and entertainment all require reservations. I don't like having every minute of my vacation "booked." I like to do things when I am in the mood, and not worry that I have to be somewhere at a ...

Stateroom was clean and there was a wide array of activities to do!

We were looking for a cruise that would be kid friendly, but not break our bank accounts (i.e-Disney). You need to have a plan and I can why people do cruise multiple times, because you learn tricks to make the experience that much better! This cruise was fun, clean, and I felt the staff was very helpful and courteous. We had an amazing room attendant who cleaned so well, made animals out of ...

5 Day Bermuda Getaway

I chose this particular cruise because I had limited days off and wanted to go to Bermuda. The ship is very nice—it is huge but doesn’t really feel overwhelming. The staterooms are very nice but the beds are horribly uncomfortable. There is plenty of seating on the pool deck and there are multiple pools and an adult only area which is great. There are a lot of covered outdoor areas—wonderful as ...

Cruise as a whole tries to nickel and dime

The restaurants are very standard, unless you go to the specialty restaurants that require an extra cost on top of the tickets/drink package/etc. The cruise also has a variety of activities that are restricted to some ages, one being the bumper cars on board that are only allowed to people 17 an under. As well as certain activities, some locations on the cruise such as the “solarium” which is ...

We chose this cruise because of the itinerary to Bermuda Leaving from New Jersey however was not a good experience. If you are sensitive to motion whatsoever you probably shouldn’t leave from this port. Anthem of the seas ship is gorgeous with plenty to do but when you are dealing with a sold out cruise it was too many people for my liking and if you have kids be prepared to be disappointed ...
