First cruise on Anthem sized ship, We normally prefer the Jewel of the Seas or similar. Embarkation was an absolute breeze. On the ship within 10 minutes. Well done RCI. If only the debarkation was anywhere near to satisfactory. More about that later. Cabins were available at 1pm as advised. We had a D5 on Deck 9 near the front and it was excellent. The room attendant, Maali was very ...

As basically small ship cruisers, we chose Anthem as we were a group from almost 3 to mid-50's and were looking for something that would be enjoyed by all to celebrate my husband's 80th birthday. We did the 10 day New England portions by ourselves and the rest of the family joined us for the Bermuda hop. I must admit that we were pleasantly surprised, although there were times that I felt ...

We went for a destination wedding. I was very disappointed our stay in Bermuda was cut short by 3 hours. We had to leave at 2 instead of 5 because of the weather, and our glass bottomed boat excursion was cancelled. I was very disappointed. Our housekeeper was friendly and very amiable. It annoyed me that they only gave a small sliver of soap and a terrible shampoo/conditioner mix in a pump on ...

We choose this area as we thought a great time to see the changing leaves. Only a few seen! Our travel agent recommended this ship. The ports were great and we were exhausted at the end of the day!! Getting on and off went smoothly a little more congested on last day but not a huge problem. The ship is huge!! I thought 4100 passengers we had to be nuts going on this cruise, but there were ...

My New Favorite Ship

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Anthem of the Seas

Just returned home from a 5 day Bermuda cruise on Anthem. Overall, with only a few hiccups, Anthem is my new favorite ship. By way of context, I have sailed on close to a dozen ships from RCL's Allure to Vision, Princess' Regal to Star, HAL's Rotterdam(don't ask), and Carnival's from Breeze to Destiny. Embarkation went smoothly as my wife(who uses a rollator/4 wheel walker), and another ...

I took my family on a 5 night Bermuda Cruise Sept 29th out of Bayonne, NJ. We live very close to the Baltimore Harbor but chose to drive because the ship had many more bells and whistles than the smaller ship out of Baltimore. Getting on and off the boat was very easy. The Anthem of the Seas is just awesome. The I-Fly, Flow-Rider, Escape Room, Bumper Cars, NorthStar all very cool. All these ...

We finally decided to go on the Bermuda cruise we had thought about for a while, when we looked up our options, decided on the Anthem of the Seas. We had been on the Quantum of the Sea's Inaugural Season sailing and found it to be good, but not great. Well, the similarity between this two ships ends with the I-fly, and the North Star. Once we boarded it was easy to see the ...

Our departure city was Beyonne, New Jersey. We flew in the day before and stayed in Elizabeth, NJ where we ate dinner out but then stayed the rest of the night in our hotel room. We Ubered to the port the next day. Even though we went earlier than our assigned time, we were allowed to board. My husband had misplaced his boarding pass but the port staff were great and ran another copy for him. ...

I'd chosen this cruise for our 41st wedding anniversary and planned it 10 months in advance. Everything was paid for, but I was still worried about hubby's mobility issues. Fortunately, RC gave me information on the vendor they use to rent electric scooter or wheelchairs. Hubby, however, refused. RC put us in a spacious, handicapped-accessible inside cabin near the elevator. Everyone from the ...

EMBARKATION: I stayed at a Hilton the night before the cruise and took the hotel shuttle to the cruise port in Bayonne. We arrived at the port around 10:45 to sit in a 45 minute line, 3 lanes wide. When the bus finally find a place to park, we had to sit another 30 minutes until enough port staff was available to unload the baggage. Once all the luggage was unloaded onto carts, we were ...
