We were not able to find affordable snow bird housing in Florida, so we took this cruise instead. We had no idea what to expect from the Anthem of the Seas, but as it turned out, she is a beautiful ship with numerous entertainment and dining venues and a great pool deck. After 2 days in NY we went to the harbor taking an Uber to embarkation. Sadly, there was huge traffic and it took us 45 min for the last mile or so.

Overall, we rate this cruise very good. The Anthem is the largest ship we’ve ever cruised on, and there were pros and cons, some fixable and some not. We booked this cruise on a whim during the Black Friday sale frenzy. We booked 5d balcony on 13th deck aft. If you are prone to motion sickness and are a light sleeper, DO NOT BOOK THIS CABIN! We felt every movement of the ship and heard every thump and bump from the Windjammer above. Good news is, we are very hard sleepers and didn't get sick from the movement, so, we were fine!
