Awesome Ship

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Anthem of the Seas

Embarkment: We got there at 10:30 and walked right on the ship. Almost no waiting. We watched from the Windjammer as traffic backed up seemingly Pennsylvania (obviously exaggerating lol) Point is: get there early or you will have a rough time. Excursions: Took the ferry to Hamilton in bermuda and shopped their. Then got back to Kings Wharf and went to the Rumcake store. ...

We sailed from Cape Liberty. The port was driving distance from our home. We had a 1230-1pm boarding time. We drove directly up to the porters and luggage crates albeit a line of cars the luggage drop off went pretty smoothly. The parking garage was on the right after the terminal. Parking for 9 days cost $198. The terminal was a bit crowded with a long line of passengers trying to get ...

After 10 cruises on the Liberty of the Seas, the Anthem was an AMAZING experience. Starting with our cabin, 8226, it was a spacious balcony. They removed the coffee table that is usually in the cabin but we did not miss it since it gave us so much more room. They have maximized storage. We had more than enough room for the first time ever. Our only complaint was the lighting. We had a ...

This is our third RC cruise - Oasis, Allure and now Anthem! In comparing, I do like the Oasis class ships better for their design and size, but the highlights for me of Anthem are: The Two70 lounge, Seaplex and being able to drive to the port, park and get on the ship. All Staff we came across were very friendly, efficient and went out of their way to make our vacation the best. I was really ...

First time ever Cruise

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Anthem of the Seas

This was my first cruise and I came away totally hooked! I am an avid traveler and accustomed to staying in some pretty nice venues. I have to say that my experience on this cruise was amazing! It started with the seamless and quick boarding experience and continued until we disembarked. I was completely impressed with how the whole process worked. Getting 4500 people off and on is not an easy ...

We chose this ship due to it sailing of of Bayonne New Jersey which is about a 4 hour drive from us. It was our first cruise ever and our 5 year anniversary trip. It was only my husband and I who went. We got a balcony room #12672 and the view was absolutely stunning! We thought the location was pretty good. Originally our trip was supposed to be a 5 day cruise with 2 days in Bermuda. However ...

What a great vacation

Sailing out of Bayonne (40 miles from home) was luxuriously convenient. This ship was larger than our first cruise (on Brilliance), but never really felt crowded. We were less-than-impressed with food in the main dining room, and will probably plan for upgraded/specialty dining every night on future cruises. The three specialty restaurants were all excellent, as one might expect. Our cabin was ...

Sailing on this cruise were myself 56, husband 55, son 25 and his fiance 25. This was our second cruise on Anthem. We drove from our home in Northern Virginia to the cruise port in Bayonne on the day of sailing, a Thursday, and traffic was amazingly smooth. And it is so nice to drive to port and not have to worry about the weight of your bags or whether they will get lost! We unloaded our bags ...

Great vacation overall

We chose RCCL for our vacation this year for the port stops and the number of sea days. To avoid any travel delays, we stayed overnight in Newark the day prior. The embarkation process went very smoothly and we boarded Anthem just before 11. Our first impression of Anthem is that she is a beautiful ship and very clean. Prior to entering any dining rooms, guests are encouraged to "washy-washy"! ...

Uncomfortable bed

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Anthem of the Seas

We enjoyed our cruise on Anthem. Keep in mind that a larger ship does not necessarily mean more to offer, just more people in this case (in our opinion). We enjoyed our last RC ship Jewel of the Seas as much as Anthem, maybe even more. We were in a balcony stateroom on deck 8, 582; really a nice room, but the bed was so uncomfortable that we dreaded going to bed and woke up aching every morning. ...
