Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Liberty of the Seas

This cruise was on Royal Caribbean Liberty of the Seas, seven days, starting April 28, 2019. This was our first cruise with Royal Caribbean. We have done three cruises on Carnival Freedom and Carnival Valor (twice), both are smaller ships than the Liberty of the Seas. This cruise left from Galveston, TX. We drove four hours from our home near Dallas and arrived late on Friday night before ...

We enjoyed the Liberty. There were 14 of us, aged 23 - 83. Cabins were nice, Sorrento's pizza was great, Ben & Jerry's ice cream fantastic, Cupcake Cupboard excellent, Windjammer Cafe so-so. Main dining room - our server John, he's the greatest; the bar service was lacking - drinks arrived after meal was finished. Entertainment was mostly comedians, 1 show on ice, 1 show was 1.5 hrs - Saturday ...

My wife and I cruised on Liberty of the Seas out of Galveston with departure on April 28 and return on May 5. We stayed in a Junior Suite on deck 9. Great room - we love the junior suites as the extra room, closet space and a full tub with shower are really nice. They do cost more, but at this point in our cruising career (this was our 20th cruise) we tend to go with the junior ...

The ship is getting shabby

We have taken this cruise out of Galveston 4 other times during the last 6 years, but will never take it again. 1) furnishings everywhere are worn, stained, ragged, and in need of attention. We didn't see all those crew members polishing and cleaning like they used to. 2) the floor and tables in the Windjammer (buffet style) were filthy. The tile portion of the floor was slick with dirty water ...

Easter Cruise Liberty of the Seas

Liberty is clearly showing age and wear. With that said, I found all areas to be clean, neat and tidy. Crew is putting forth a strong daily effort to keep standards high. We stayed in cabin 8334. Perfect location for exploring any section of the ship. If your health allows taking the stairs is quick and easy. Elevators can be stuffed and wait times long. Our cabin attendant was Raul. Could not ...

We booked with a travel agent, supposed to have dinners paid for. This was our first cruise, nobody explains anything. Didn't know were we supposed to eat. Sunday night we had the Mystery dinner theater. It was at Giovanni. It was good. Food was good , we had wine. Everything was good so we decided to eat at Giovanni monday night. Had glasses of wine. When we signed the ticket, no charges for ...

I would like to commend the following crew members that made this cruise so enjoyable, especially Imade, our cabin steward who provided superior service; Oswin, a head waiter at the Aquarius dining room who went out of his way to accommodate our every request and ensure that our dining experience was first class. His personal attention carried over at the Windjammer during breakfast and lunch; ...

Review of Vision of the Seas, Transatlantic Galveston to Barcelona, April 19th to May 6th 2019 – 17 nights. Overview: Amazing trip, great ship, superb crew. The whole trip was amazing with one major issue, which was the medical staff/facilities and one minor issue, which was new sheets that were dirty (bloodstains) on the sofa bed, the new sheets they sent were also badly stained, so we ...

The sad old boat that just wouldn't go.

Vision of the seas is an old vision of the past, not retro-cool, just old. Old enough for the engine not to start. I will try to be short and assertive, honest and willing to give you future traveler a good advise. And it doesn't end good. Vision of the seas is an old boat built in 1998, so there is a very strong risk that something goes wrong; in our experience the problem was that the boat ...

We chose this cruise because it matched our kids' Spring Break and went out of Texas, which makes flights more affordable from California than Florida cruises. We absolutely loved their buffet, Windjammer Cafe. It almost turned us off on day one when there was no seating, but we learned that if you ask staff there for help, they will find you something. Staff overall (aside from a grumpy lady ...
