Thoughts on our June 28th 5 night cruise

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Enchantment of the Seas

Ship - As many have pointed out, the Enchantment of the Seas needs some serious maintenance. So much so, that it's not really maintenance anymore. The ship just needs a major dry dock for new paint and varnish. This did not in any way affect our cruise. In fact I really like this ship and its layout. I really hate seeing it so unloved by Royal, but a small ship like the Enchantment isn't the ...

Third time on LOS - comparison to other two cruises

We wanted to take our grandson age 11 on this ship as it had impressed us as a family ship on our two previous cruises on it in 2017 and 2018. However, the ship was overcrowded in my opinion and services were not up to par with our previous cruises on LOS. Our grandson had a wonderful time. But my husband and I and daughter/son-in-law felt that there was not enough for adults to do in the daytime. ...

Wonderful Time on Enchantment

If you like shiny, new things...have to have the newest, released today tech, or car, or whatever...Enchantment might not be for you. That said, it still can be. Enchantment has been in the water for a little over 20 years. Yes, there are some rust spots. Yes, the decor is of that time. But this ship has a certain character that is not available on many of today's ships - never once did it ...

Rusty but a good time

Ship: All the other reviews are spot on. The cruise ship itself is in rough condition. There is rust absolutely everywhere on the outside of the ship, and it will make you feel as if you've made a mistake to spend your hard earned money on this vacation. However, once you are inside the ship, it is as clean as any ship I've been on, and it is very well kept. The Centrum area is incredible with ...

Great trip hampered by poor dining room food, The Key experience

We’ve sailed four times with Royal Caribbean, but always on older, smaller ships — Grandeur of The Seas, Enchantment of the Seas and Majesty of The Seas — and were itching for a chance to try larger ships. This summer, we opted for a cruise on Liberty to celebrate the high school graduation of our son and daughter. Later in the summer, we will be on Anthem of the Seas for a just the two of us ...

Great Cruise, but wish there were more activities

This was our first Royal Caribbean cruise and we ended up on Enchantment because it was the second cruise as part o a travel package that we purchased through our travel agency. I have never been on any of the bigger ships before, so my review is not based on comparison to those types of ships. I've done one Carnival cruise (Sensation) and then this one on Enchantment. My initial thoughts were ...

We loved our cruise on Liberty of the Seas . Prior to the cruise the website was easy to navigate and make plans. We used a travel agency. But I made excursion and dinning choices online. Our room had a balcony. I enjoyed many hours on it. The staff were beyond gracious! If everyone treated each other like Liberty of the Seas staff treat people the world would be a better place. ...

Ship shows outside signs of its age. A good paint job would fix this. This ship was chosen as a trip with our grandchildren and convenient, out of Texas. We did encounter issues, such as A/C and plumbing. Supervisor Staff and Diamond Concierge was helpful. We ate in dining room every night but one, waitstaff felt very inexperience but continually asked us to remember to fill out survey. (Which ...

Wonderful service and food, too many children, ship is dated and small

The food was great, and the service was amazing. We purchased a dining package, but this is a very small ship, so there is only 1 specialty dining option, Chops Grille. The food at Chops was very good, but there wasn't much variety. We chose to dine in the main dining room most days. We also did a Chef's Table experience one night, and that was great. Very good wine and the food was amazing. We ...

Tips from a mostly great time on Liberty of the Seas

Getting there: Flew in to IAH, rented a car, drove to Galveston the night before the cruise. Had the car to sight see on the way, Stayed at the Inn at the Waterpark overnight, Next day parked at EZ Cruise Parking, took their shuttle to the pier. Hotel is a little run down. Parking was good experience. Porter took the suitcases right from the parking shuttle. Embarcation: long lines but moved ...
