Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Harmony of the Seas

Left from Ft Lauderdale to St. Maartin, Puerto Rico and Labadee. Flew in that morning (very nerve racking worrying about missing the boat). Check in was less than 20 minutes if you do online check in with picture online. They wanted a picture idea for my 7 y/o??? Finally waived that. The boat is everything it shows. Too much to see in 7 days. We would have to repeat to get everything. ...

I would not do back on the Harmony Too many kids and programs all geared got kids. Music much too loud. Excellent cabin steward and good food in the dining room with good waiter. The Windjammer Cafe was always messy and we would not eat there.Unfortunately this new ship does not get high marks from me. The entertainment was poor and the headliner show was terrible. Grease was good. The music on ...

We’ve sailed on several RC ships, but this was our first time aboard Harmony of the Seas. Embarkation was very efficient. We had some nasty winds the first few days and the ship encountered some serious rocking. Some entertainment was cancelled, but the crew did its best to keep guests engaged. Our grand balcony suite was beautiful, and service was impeccable. We visited the casino often and ...

This ship is a moving city! It always has something going on but having said that, to me it is not cruising. There is no “ charm” but there is lots to do. The food in the dining room is average but their specialty restaurants are very good. If I was to name this cruise, I would call it the “alacarte cruise”. Everything is an extra charge. If you are traveling with a young family, they would ...

A Harmonious Cruise Overall

Loved the ship....loved the fact that with 6K pax it rarely felt really crowded because there were so many HUGE venues and 'neighborhoods' for people to go (Promenade, Central Park, or the Boardwalk. The entertainment was excellent, but other than the main shows which had to be scheduled in advance to ensure you could get in, there wasn't much else to do at night if you were not a 'drinker' (for ...

Best First Cruise Ever

This was a celebration cruise and it was the best decision I have ever made for a vacation. Anything you needed was provided and everyone was so friendly. Our stateroom attendant: Marcelino, waiter: Salem, assistant waiter: Ricardo, etc. We had a few rocky nights in the beginning of the cruise but Captain Johnny made sure we were as comfortable as possible. The entertainment was also a highlight ...

Booking: We booked 3 cabins on Harmony as soon as bookings became available: 689 days out. We chose Harmony because we were bringing our 2 granddaughters and their parents and wanted a ship that would not only WOW but provide plenty of activities for all. The 2 C1 connecting Central Park balconies worked well for the kids and their parents and grandma and grandpa had an Ocean View balcony ...

Too big, too impersonal

I would not repeat my seven day Caribbean cruise on the ship. This ship is too big and there are too many people. The nickel and dime expenses add up very quickly. The dining venues were ok but not spectacular. The food was typical of any large cruise ship.. Dine on demand meant waiting ten to thirty minutes for a table and did not result in a table with any sort of ocean view. The buffets were ...

My husband and I went on this cruise and met my brother in Ft. Lauderdale. We flew in from Kansas City and he flew in from St. Louis the day before the cruise. We stayed at the Hilton Marina Ft. Lauderdale Hotel and liked the hotel. We had each received an e-mail from Royal Caribbean to board at 1:00 p.m. because they had a lot to unload. We had to check out of the hotel by 11:00 and went to the ...
