My mom lives in South Florida between Port Everglades and Port Miami and we have done several fun short cruises to the Bahamas and Royal Caribbean was our favorite one. My 12 year old son was obsessed with doing Harmony of the Seas and I was curious to try it for a full week so we were off to vacation this summer. I went with my husband, mom, and my 9 and 12 year old.
The quality of the ship ...
This is not our first cruise on the Oasis class so I find us doing some comparison between all the Oasis ships. The ship is similar to the other Oasis class with the difference of the slides, shows, and some other tweaks. The service from the MDR, Specialty Dining, Buffet, Room Cabins, and other Cafes are great. Unfortunately, there are also some things that need improvement. 1) The other ...
Have been on many RCI cruises and on Oasis and Allure. So we were excited for Harmony. Its been 2 years since being on RCI and things have changed for the worst. The crowds and lines on Harmony were everywhere. The other mega ships after the muster drill people disperse and don't have big issues with lines. The staff is great and very helpful. Embarkation and disembarkation were very good, no ...
We are a Diamond Plus couple and have sailed Harmony before. Liked it so much we returned. Had a credit from earlier cruise so moved up to a Sky Class Suite (8654). Extra benefits were very nice.
Concierge service by Mohamed and Checker was excellent throughout They whisked us off the ship on Disembarkation through heavy traffic. Saved us lots of worries. Had helpful tips ...
The Negative:
*If you like amusement park crowds and lines this is the cruise for you.
*Don't try to use any of the pools on sea days.
*The buffet food is on par with Hometown Buffet quality. Get in the cattle line.
*The main dining is equivalent to the food that you get at any large conference.
*Crappy internet is way over priced and a lot of buffering. ($200+ for 2 ...
We chose Harmony of the Seas because of the amenities and size of the ship. I didn’t even feel the ship rocking once. They have good stabilizers on the ship. My husband gets very seasick on cruises but he didn’t need to take his medicine once. There was so much to do on this ship. We enjoyed our nightly entertainment including the Columbus musical and the Grease musical. We missed the ice skating ...
The biggest cruise ship? It was huge. The employees were exceptional, always with a smile on their face and willing to help. Everything was by the book. The cabin, the food, the entertainment, the food, the shows, the music, even the karaoke sounded like professionals. Thinking about embarkation, I was complaining about how long it usually takes, but was surprised that it took less than 20 minutes ...
We had an amazing experience. The cruise is amazing. Excellent service and the cruise staff is amazing everywhere you go. The dinning experience is unforgettable. the ship was very clean and offers a lot of things to do. The shows were excellent and very entertaining. We are planning to book another vacation next year with Royal Caribbean. That is definitely the best way to spend a vacation with ...
We were in a Grande Suite, Deck 9. We booked this cruise because my sister in law needed to be back for school which starts today. We get along fabulously. Her husband passed, it was cheaper for us to get the suite than for her to pay for a single cruiser. The cabin was marvelous. We had 2 flat TV's, a huge (and I mean huge) bathroom with a gigantic bathtub. We had a double balcony, a bar, ...
I'm going to start with the one negative, elevators. I got to know the stairs pretty well b/c the elevators were constantly full and/or took forever. There is 6000 people on board so it is what it is, excercise is a good thing. If you don't like crowds Harmony is not for you, but you adapt. The staff was really great except at the pool bar when we wanted pop in the souvenir cup they'd ignore ...
