Good ports but ship a little disappointing

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Explorer of the Seas

We chose this cruise due to the locations and our previous experience of Royal Caribbean. Our embarkation was good only taking about 15 mins to check in, clear security and step aboard the ship. The ship has benefitted from some recent refurbishment but areas are looking a little tired and in need of some minor maintenance. Dining was reasonably good with the quality in the Windjammer ...

Wonderful Baltic Cruise (don't believe all the negative reviews!)

We had the most amazing cruise ever to Scadinavia on Explorer! I read the negative reviews on Explorer beforehand and they had me concerned. I really shouldn't have worried at all as the ship is in great condition for her age. Yes, there was some paint chipping and condensation on the windows but you are much more particular than us if that's going to affect your vacation at all. The ship was ...

Mostly went on this cruise for the wonderful ports we stopped in. Embarkation and leaving the ship were quick and easy. The ship was fine. The average age of the ship was very old (older than i thought and I expected the crowd to be old). This was fine for us as we are not the type to stay out late partying - but almost nobody showed up to parties or events. The shows were also tailored for ...

We spent 4 days in Rome before the cruise- beautiful city easy to explore. Booked a shuttle to the port which is about a 45 minute drive from downtown Rome. Dropped us right at the tent for luggage drop off and the line for Royal Caribbean embarkation. Quick and easy-we arrived about 11:30 and were at the pool by noon!! Make sure you either pack or wear your bathing suit in a carry on bag because ...

Enjoyable Baltic cruise

We chose this cruise primarily because of its itinerary which included one or two extra ports of call and fewer cruising days. Departing from Southampton was another bonus. We hadn’t cruised with Royal Caribbean before and Explorer was the largest vessel we’d ever chosen so we were slightly concerned we might find it overcrowded, noisy and too glitzy. Nothing could have been further from the ...

Highly disappointed in customer service

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Adventure of the Seas

First Time Cruiser • Age 50s

We went as a family of 10 on a cruise to Canada/New England and this was our first times cruising. The ship was pretty but not as equipped for children but that was ok. We expected that. I am also a travel agent so I knew this was a smaller ship. We had so many issues with our children's Set Sail passes being deactivated and my husband's picture being changed on his pass. We visited Guest Services ...

Love Royal Carribeant. Having been cruising with them since 1997 and it is my most favorite type of vacation. The food is fantastic the crew and all of their ships are gorgeous. I highly recommend any of their ships as they are very accommodating. I have never been disappointed on RCCL. The value that you get on their cruises is phenomenal. My parents did another cruise line twice and ...

First cruise on RCL after cruising NCL, Carnival, and Princess. Young 40's couple. This was a family get together cruise, so this itinerary was selected for us, but we did note that it was the most expensive I have ever paid for a cruise at $608 per night (for 2 people in the cabin including all taxes and fees and less our OBC) for a Junior Suite (which was priced only about $20 per night over a ...

Pros: Greek itinerary, whole experience of leaving out of Venice was a dream, rock climbing staff, cruise director staff and shore excursion service were excellent, good port excursions, quality food, smooth sailing ship Cons: Entertainment was horrible (people actively leaving shows bad) - Newly wed game was the highlight if that tells you anything, First cruise ever where restaurant service ...

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Navigator of the Seas

We chose this cruise for a quick weekend getaway without taking much time off work. We chose the Navigator because we sailed on Mariner after the refurbishment about 6 months ago and loved the Mariner renovation. Embarkation- Incredible. From the Uber to onboard in less than 10 minutes. Terminal A is fantastic. Cabin- cabins were beautifully upgraded with new carpet and upholstery (dark ...
