Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Harmony of the Seas

This was my 2nd time on Harmony (1st time was Nov 16'), and it was as good as I remembered the 1st time when it was a fairly new ship! Embarkation - smooth and quick, literally from curb to ship in less than 10 minutes. Keep in mind we were prepared with "Set Sail Pass" after completing online chick in, and passports! Ship - as amazing as it was 3 yrs earlier! Great décor, very neat, and ...

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Allure of the Seas

I originally chose this ship for its itinerary St Kitts, St Thomas and Nassau. As well is for the time of year after the super active hurricane season and my birthday. Once our island stops were changed from St Thomas to San Juan,I was upset but just rolled with it. Embarkation was SUPER easy arrived at the port around 10:30 and on the ship by 1115 with a cocktail in hand. I recommend using ...

Poor imitation of the RCCL we used to love

This was our first cruise as a couple after 20 years or so cruising with family. We took our first RCCL cruise back in 1997 and have taken around 25 cruises in that time, around half of them with RCCL. It is sad to see how far this line is prepared to go, to erode the cruise experience totally. I'm sure those relatively new to cruising won’t know any different and so don’t know what they ...

We travelled with our 6 month old baby girl and I have to say apart from our cabin steward the staff were extremely accommodating, especially the head waiter in the dining room I can’t remember his name he was from Bali I think his name was Suyanto or something similar. I’m gluten free so he also looked after me well and offered to make me something different if I didn’t fancy anything on the ...

Very Disappointed

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Anthem of the Seas

First of all, let me start off by saying Bermuda was fantastic!! Loved every minute of it. We've always enjoyed RC and we love Bermuda so this seemed like a no-brainer. We arrived on the ship and were happily let on at 10:30 AM. We toured the ship a bit. It was very big and pretty but we were not fond of the narrow halls and Royal Esplanade in general. Seemed quite confined. The stores are ...

We stayed overnight in a hotel in Southampton then got a taxi to the city terminal for 11am. As D+ loyalty we got priority security and check in and were on the ship within 20 minutes. We called into the Diamond Lounge for snacks and a hot drink as windjammer wasn't open. Our balcony cabin was ready by 1pm and 30 minutes later our cases turned up so we unpacked and went for lunch. We ...

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Grandeur of the Seas

We were on this ship 2 years ago going south and weren't really impressed but only went this trip because of the 9 nights we would suppose to be in port 5 days - didn't happen. A week prior to boarding we got an email that said due to a coast guard inspection don't show up until noon - no big deal. The boat did not leave until the following morning. It then didn't pull into boston until 3pm and ...

Bucket List Cruise to Mediterranean

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Jewel of the Seas

User Avatar

I’m a frequent cruiser (widow-60s), most often with RCL in the Caribbean. This was a bucket-list & 1st European cruise to celebrate my retirement. I was joined by one of my kids. We spent 4 days in Rome first, which was useful to adjust to the time difference. Ship: Service was fine, and ship was maintained well. Food: We really loved the Chef's Table, and our dinners at Giovanni's and ...
