I took this cruise to see what this $115 million dollar amplification was all about- WOW what fun. This ship still has some dated decor (Royal needs to get out of the 80's), but the water slides, laser tag, food were just amazing. So much to do on this ship, one weekend isn't enough. This was a cruise to Nassau but I cruised for the ship ...
My wife and I (both in our mid 50s) sailed out for three days following a week in West Palm to burn some vacation time before the end of the year. This was our 9th cruise with RC. We rented a car and drove to Port Canaveral, the port was easy to navigate and the Enterprise people shuttled us to the main door in just a few minutes. We arrived at 11:30 am and once past the scanners and in the ...
This was a birthday cruise for my daughter (8) and I. We stayed in a Promenade View Interior on deck 6. The cabin was quiet and clean and our cabin steward was wonderful.
Embarkation - we did the expedited check in and walked on with no line at 10:45am. The ship is beautiful and the Amped upgrades are really fun.
The pool deck is very colorful, and very crowded! Bar service was fast and ...
The only thing I can say good about our cruise is that my teenage boys room steward, Rouston Rodrigues was Amazing. He not only cleaned my teenage boys room, made them animal towels, but interacted with them and my husband and myself throughout every day of our cruise. My husband and I saw our steward, Wilfred (I believe that was his name) only once when we boarded.
In the Great Gatsby dining ...
We have sailed a few times out of Baltimore on the Carnival Pride and thought we would give the Grandeur of the Seas opportunity to "show her stuff". She didn't disappoint. From the time we set foot on deck till we said our last goodbye, the crew were as attentive and pleasant as could be. Sometimes I think the prepaid gratuity changes the service level, but not on this ship. Service at the ...
Since we live within 45 minutes of Baltimore we decided to book at Gandeur of the Seas. The embarkation was so very easy to board the ship and parking was very plentiful. When arriving we went to the Windjammer for a quick meal and then our room was ready. We had booked an oceanview room and it was very clean and a good size. I thought we would get a port hold but I was thankful for the large ...
My husband and I chose this cruise to transit the Panama Canal. We got so much more. This is a beautiful ship, easy to navigate and it has the best cruise director in the world, Steve Davis, who can make this cruise fun for everyone. Michael Jackson’s Thriller dance was the highlight for me. The energy on this ship is non stop. There is always so to do. The entertainment was varied and fun. The ...
Never ever been treated like second class citizen since I have been cruising for over 27 years with this pathetic company. It does not matter what happens on this ship as nobody cares and nobody listens. The noise, food, officers were pathetic and overall I wish people would avoid this company like the plague. An officer actually snatched a spoon out of my hand and I wish I would have handled my ...
As I've travelled on Carnival, Princess, Holland America and others, this is a comparison to these lines. This was a nightmare. Twelve days and nights of misery. The cabin was supposed to be a room for 3 adults but immediately found there were 2 twin beds and a love seat. Customer service said there was a drop-down bunk bed only, for which a disabled 70 year old had to climb into. No way to ...
The ship is wonderful. I love how small and easy to navigate she is compared to her bigger competitors and sisters. Not high-tech, which is fine with me. I'm happy with just music and trivia and silly games and reading by the pool. Maybe I'm just getting old, but I thought the ship was perfect for my wife and I.
Solarium space is wonderful. Quiet, great view.
Staff were wonderful. Steve ...
