Great Ship, Food, Not so Much

We really enjoyed this ship and the size of it. It was perfect really. We were able to navigate and figure it all out on our 2nd day. This was our 2nd RCI cruise and 15th overall. The staff on Mariner were outstanding and really helpful. Pool bar waiters, bar staff, casino Bar Staff and cabin stewards were amazing as well. MOS was refurbished a few years ago and is in great shape. We saw ...

Pretty Good Overall

Ever since the Oasis launched I've been wanting to try one of Royal Caribbean's mega-ships. I took a 4-night cruise to the Bahamas with 6 family members in two cabins. Ours was a pretty standard balcony cabin - no complaints really. The other cabin was HUGE - a family oceanview room. If you can snag one of those for a decent price you should go for it! I really expected the boarding to be ...

Overall a great experience

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Voyager of the Seas

I selected this cruise because it was out of Galveston and the dates lined up with what I wanted. I put blind trust into the hope I would enjoy the experience. I find that all reviews have to be sorted through to understand what to trust or not trust. Any vendor, ship, resort, product or whatever I am interested in has reviews written by very negative people or people planted to write reviews to ...

We set off on the World Cruise. Pros: Gorgeous, Great Itinerary, a + for staying late in ports, Nice staff, The garden theming and bird chirps around the indoor pool are amazing Cons: The steak is the worst steak Ive ever had on a ship. Rubbery in textture and salted to the max.It is so bad that the only meat I eat is the Roast Beef. - Shame on the World Cruise for not converting an area ...

Ship was to go to Far North Queensland but due to Cyclone we went south instead. I was happy to go south, but could understand people being disappointed with change, but there was no way we could have gone to Cairns etc. First time on Brilliance, had previously been on Quantum last 4 times, and I actually enjoyed the smaller ship, it took us back to the old days ( well not that old ...

We decided to do a quick holiday cruise after several years of not being able to. We found a good deal on the cruise itself with prepaid gratuities and some onboard credit as well. Captain Marek was still onboard for our sailing although I believe he was leaving after our cruise. He is definitely one of the nicest and most enjoyable Captains in the Royal Caribbean fleet. Although I saw reviews ...

The "Grandiose" Grandeur

I chose this cruise to enjoy time with my family and gain new experiences in being on a cruise to different lands, while witnessing different cultures. This being my first time on a cruise, I was excited to join with the Royal Caribbean team and its "Grandeur of the Seas". Unfortunately, by the end of the trip, I was sorely disappointed with the whole experience and am now uncertain that I ...

Background Information This was a multigenerational cruise involving my elderly parents, 40ish sibling with partner and a teenager. I've done 5 previous cruises with Royal. Travel To Port of Embarkation We travelled to Sydney and each stayed at different hotels. I suggest booking one within walking distance to the terminal. There are plenty of choices in Circular Quay or The ...

This ship needs to hire new staff the people was rude and the cooking wasn’t good. Going on a cruise for 10/11 days is supposed to be a great experience and it wasn’t the staff was extremely rude and aggressive their was a few staff that was nice such as the young caribbean male musician and the caribbean male bartender aside from that the people was rude and did not provide good customer service. ...

Disappointed first time on Royal

We have taken several cruises but this was the first time with Royal Caribbean and a lot of our friends had a lot of good things to say about Royal however it was not the case for us. We did a quick 4 night cruise out of Galveston. We went in December which was also a first we typically go in summer. I can say Royal has the embarking and disembarking process down pack. It took us ~10min ...
