Oh, Mr Porter, what shall I do? I wanted to go to Boston and New York and they've taken me on to the Canary Isles....OK, it doesn't rhyme or fit the tune, but it sums up what happened to us on our first experience of cruising.
My wife and I decided two years ago to blow our savings on a cruise down the Eastern Seabord of the USA. Royal Caribbean International were advertising a 13 night cruise ...
Was due to sale to Boston/New York/Florida but with big seas in the North Atlantic the captain decided to change the itinerary(twice). There was a lot of people who decided not to travel,it was mentioned 1000 and i would just like to thank them all.The latest itinerary took us from Southampton to The canaries and on to the Bahamas and Florida with flat seas and clear sky’s 75/80 degrees for the six ...
We were supposed to sail from Southampton to Boston, New York, Port Canaveral and Miami. However, we were called on th Friday afternoon before the Monday cruise and told that due to storms in the Atlantic we would now go to Le Havre, Brugges and then Miami. Not quite the same appeal! We were offered a full refund if we cancelled but as booked the flights ourselves and non refundable hotel rooms in ...
Wanted to try a new cruise line. We were attracted by the departure port and the variety of activities. We were not disappointed! Embarkation was a breeze. We had a Grand Suite (lowest end of Sky Class). Lovely room, although the brown color scheme was dull. Great to have a separate space from our daughters, wonderful bathroom—full size with two sinks and full size tub/shower. Nice big balcony. ...
We choose this cruise for the ship, as we had not been on the Anthem of the Seas. The ship was impressive, but it lacked good food, unless you paid extra, and a lot of the crew seemed to be lazy. Not at all what we are used to on other ships. Lots to do. The entertainment on this ship was certainly different. Enjoyed The Gift, Spectra, and We will Rock You, but once was enough for all of ...

Embarkation: was a breeze. due to coast guard conducting a mandatory routine inspection, our arrival time was pushed back to 11:30....i never listen. got there for 10 a.m. and i believe we were on the ship by 11:15. disembarkation was even easier. walked right off at 7:15 a.m., grabbed my luggage from Section 18 and through customs and home by 8:20 ... 8:30 a.m.
after embarkation, up to ...
This ship conveniently leaves out of NJ, it is new and big. The dates aligned with my kids, 11 and 13, having off from school. It was our 5th cruise. We also sailed in Carnival and MSC. We have enjoyed all of them.
We hit a 20 minute traffic jam driving to the port at around 11:30 AM, but once we got to the port, embarkation was fast and smooth. On disembarkation morning, there was a 1 hour ...
We wanted to try a big ship cruise. We were very impressed with the smooth embarcation process but things quickly went downhill from there. Long lines greeted us at every meal with or without reservations for our "my time" dining, and table service was mediocre for the most part. We found the serving staff attention to detail lacking even in the specialty restaurants, and the day to day menu was ...
Best time of year for my time off.
Embarking ship in Cape Liberty was very efficient and took very little time.
Bermuda is an excellent island and safe to get around. Transportation on the island is very user friendly. Would have preferred Caribbean islands but were not available for the time I needed.
Music on the ship was excellent along with the headliner shows.
All the main ...
