Dated and Uncomfortable rooms. Incredibly poor dining - fabulous itinerary.

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Quantum of the Seas

Boarding I am not sure if it just a matter of cultural differences, but when departing from Australia, I really got the impression that the tsunami of passengers hurtling towards the Quantum were little more than irritation to the landslide staff. The staff's general demeanour towards embarking passengers was not that of a valued guest, it really stood out. To be fair, the over-enthusiasm of ...

price was right for a break from home after covid lockdown, but too many problems for cruisers with a disability?? steps everywhere show's at both ends of ship starting 15 minutes after the other show finished? and not a small ship?? most times had to sit on our wheelie walkers to view the shows. 2-70 thearter waste of time for disability cruisers, staff very helpful, meals in silks ...

Way too crowded

This was our first taste of a cruise with 4600+ passengers and will not be repeated. It was like the Gympie Muster or Glastonbury without the mud. Our original oversize Deck 11 ocean view cabin 11102 had a great view through a large window overlooking the bow. We were directly under the Bridge. But possibly also the crew toilet as we were regularly treated to noisy vacuum flushing throughout ...

This is cruise #4 for me with RC. My 2 friends have never been on a cruise ship - so after some convincing we all "splashed out" for Grand Suite 11242 - on Quantum from Brisbane-Airlie Beach March 10-14th. Our Grand Suite was level 11 - close to elevators but certainly not noisy. Emabarkation at Brisbane - easy! Make sure you have your ID/RAT test photo, Vacc certificate and Set sail ...

The cruise to nowhere, then somewhere

I wanted to celebrate my 60th birthday by going on a 'local' cruise so that the friends we invited didn't have to fly anywhere. From an original group of 14, seven sailed on March 10. This was only our second RCL cruise but we ticked over 150 days at sea with this four nighter. It was also our first cruise on a mega ship. We got a good price on a J4 junior suite that included USD260 obc. We ...

Big overcrowded ship

This is a lovely big ship that is very stable for those that may be reluctant to cruise due to the fear of sea sickness. This was our first Australian cruise having cruised only once before to Alaska from Vancouver. We departed from Brisbane for a 4 night cruise to Airlie Beach and return. Our ocean view balcony room was lovely and very comfortable. The ship seemed overcrowded as it was difficult ...

Just got off this cruise today in Australia, while the ship is great as are the staff, plenty of activities, the food was rubbish even in the Restaurants, didn't try the paid restaurants so cant comment on that, drink package was outrageous pricing and so many rooms there were line ups for everything, activities booked out even before boarding, wont see me back on this one Focus is Jamming as ...

We are currently on the three night cruise to nowhere which departed Brisbane 23/02/2023 As regular cruisers we were keen to explore all that Quantam of the Seas had to offer but unfortunately we have been left wanting. The cruise is currently sailing with a passenger total in excess of 4700, which makes for an extremely crowded and unpleasant experience. All areas are busy, shows are booked ...

So nice to have a quality ship homeporting in Australia

This is truly a beautiful ship. Very well laid out so that it never felt over crowded despite being close to capacity. And in immaculate condition. It feels like class. So many places to sit and relax, if there's time between all the activities that were scheduled every day and entertainment at night! A terrific 2 floor shopping/eating area to rival anything on shore. Very modern ...
