Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Anthem of the Seas

Shaving quality at every opportunity and charging ever more to put back what once was included, RC has raised the cost to a level that there are better options. Sad, we used to enjoy cruising but it is so pedestrian for the price. The food was bland, the lounge chairs uncomfortable, the ship outfitting low grade, the shows used silly story's, and the music avoided songs with royalties. They ...

The Time of Our Lives

We were recommended to cruise with Royal Caribbean, and we were happy with our experience. Our family had so much fun that we decided to book another cruise for next year. The service that was provided was exceptional. The crew went out of their way to make sure all of our needs were met. They were genuinely committed in making sure we were satisfied and content with all that was provided. ...

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

The Anthem of the Seas has to be the most poorly designed cruise ship in The a Royal Caribbean Fleet. It has one outdoor pool the size of a large postage stamp for over 4,000 guest. The indoor pool was okay but small. The ceiling does not open so there is no air movement at all. The Solarium does not allow children and we were traveling with a group that included teens. The Seaplex was nice ...

Best Cruise Ever!

My 15 year old asked to go on a cruise this year, and luckily I was dying to go on the Anthem! We embarked in Bayonne after driving to the port. Parking was easy after dropping our luggage off at the port. We were in the terminal, through security and on the ship in less than 30 minutes. Once on the ship we explored and found 270 lounge where we had a great lunch (try the roast beef ...

Great Ship, Great Vacation

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Anthem of the Seas

Ship was just the right size to have lots of amenities for everyone including my 2 boys (9 and 12) but not too big that it was overwhelming like Oasis. I strongly disagree with the other reviews about the food being bad, and the wait staff not speaking English. Our wait staff were unbelievable. The food was fantastic and always fresh and hot. We did My Time dining and never once had a ...

9-night Bermuda/Caribbean cruise

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Anthem of the Seas

We have taken 7-night cruises in the past and chose this one because it was a bit longer. Also, we had never been to Bermuda before. The experience on Anthem of the Seas was wonderful - a fairly new ship that has very modern style, with many technological improvements over the ship we were on for our last cruise experience 3 years ago. The entire ship was spotless everyday and the staff were ...

This is our 25th cruise. Everything is always wonderful, never a disappointment. My daughter is diabled and our cabin steward took great efforts to make sure she was comfortable and safe. The windjammer staff is always so cheerful and helpful, they were very helpful in finding a table for me and my daughter with a wheelchair. We got off the ship at all the ports of call. We have visited ...

Made a Cruise-Lover Out of My Husband

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Anthem of the Seas

My husband had never cruised before and embarked on this vacation with a negative mindset. After experiencing the better-than-expected food in the main dining room at breakfast and dinner, and the very professional entertainment (The Gift and You Will Rock Me were excellent), he is looking forward to our January 2019 cruise on the Allure of the Seas out of Miami. The Anthem is huge, but we still ...

Beautifully Ship, Activities Lacking, Food Cold and Tasteless

We chose this ship as it appeared there was so much for my 10, 13 and 15yr olds to do onboard. First, there were no poolside or ship activities for kids to do- no children in our group wanted to spend the days inside at “camp” playing dodgeball everyday without the option to swim or experience other kids activities. This ship needs hair braiding, henna tattoos pool games, giveaways and other ...

Great Cruise...However, Bigger Ship Isn't Always The Better Ship

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Anthem of the Seas

User Avatar

We chose Anthem of the Seas because wanted to experience a bigger ship than we've sailed in the past. We came away with "Bigger is not always better". With close to 4,900 passengers, it's a struggle to reserve seats for entertainment, the IFly, etc. If you didn't get up a the crack of dawn, and go find/reserve a deck chair, you were out of luck. There were only three locations on the ship where ...
