Not a cruise to take with kids

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Grandeur of the Seas

We took this cruise with kids ages 16, 12, 4, and 1. There was nothing for any of them to do and it was a consensus that all of them hated this vacation. The pool and cabin staff were rude because my young kids were crying and screaming during the trip because they were so bored. The teenagers stayed in their room and slept most of the trip because when they tried to go to the teen room, they were ...

Quick Five Day Cruise to Bermuda

We wanted to do a quick cruise for my summer vacation from school and wanted to avoid flying. Driving to Baltimore from our home in Virginia was relatively quick and easy and we arrived a bit later then we usually do (12 ish) and parking was fairly quick. We always avoid the porters and carry our luggage on and off the ship. The embarkation was very, very quick and the line was very short. As ...

Older ship

This ship was built in 1992 I believe, and it is showing it’s age. If you have children 5 and under, the activities for them are poor. The food was good, overall. Staff was very attentive and personable. Movie choices were lacking. Showing movies about terrorists was not appropriate with so many teenagers and younger kids present, in my opinion. The arcade was extremely small and choices were ...

Relaxing But Nothing Special

We were celebrating my 70th and our 40th anniversary. I upgraded to a Grand Suite, 1 bedroom, for this cruise ( the upsell price was right $$). The amenities that came with the suite were exactly what I wanted. My husband and I were very happy and well taken care of. Priority Embarkation and Disembarkation MUSTER DRILL: ours was in Silk on 4th deck; roll call then watched video which was ...

Relaxing 9 day Caribbean cruise

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Anthem of the Seas

We were looking for a relaxing cruise with plenty to do on the ship. In that respect, this cruise was perfect. The port stops were very short, but we were happy on this trip with exploring on our own for a few hours. The entertainment on the ship was very good. The We will Rock you show was among the best I have ever seen on a cruise. It could be on Broadway without any changes as it was also ...

Nice ship but very crowded

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Anthem of the Seas

The ship is very pretty and modern, but much narrower than Oasis class ships so therefore felt much more crowded. Impossible to get seats in the Solarium on sea days unless you were there by 7 am. Food in the Windjammer was sub par and also very crowded. I was unable to get turkey burgers like on Oasis and had to ask for chicken sausage, which were not on the buffet as on Oasis. As a Diamond ...

Autism on the Seas > Team Orange Rocks !

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Anthem of the Seas

I choose this cruise because it was supported by the staff of Autism on the Seas for my daughter. Their volunteer staff are "Angels of the Seas" ( yes copied from another review.....love the phrase) The ability to travel with a disabled adult "child" is a challenge. Autism on the Seas provides the assistance from start to finish and for the entire family., One needs to look beyond the title of ...

Overcrowding of the Seas

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Anthem of the Seas

Have been on 6 cruises, 5 with RCC. This being the second departing from the USA. Cape Liberty was expensive to get to by taxi from Manhatten, NCL cruises depart much closer to mid-town. Had two large interior cabins with virtual balcony, trading the real balcony for more cabin room, especially with so many days at sea it seemed sensible. Both main dining rooms pretty crowded by 6pm, with tables ...

Amazing vacation despite the crowds

Anthem of the Seas July 12 2018 I am a Diamond member on Royal and am writing this review as a long time cruiser. The ship is absolutely gorgeous the crew keep her spotless and she really has unique charm. That being said the ship IS CROWDED. Keep in mind we were sailing during peak summer vacation time. I was shocked because the Oasis class never felt remotely crowded compared to this. ...
