Starting from Cape Liberty, the embarkation process was a nightmare. We spent over 2 hours in an Uber less than a mile from the ship trying to get to the terminal. There were 2 college-aged "Traffic Enforcers" who did not but let the traffic back up for miles. Once we got to the terminal everything finally began flowing smoothly with the exception of the overcrowded security lines.

If you want overcrowding, long lines, bizarre entertainment, minimal activities and average main dining room food, this is the cruise for you! There's a lot of good things about Anthem of the Seas, the ship is in great shape and the food is quite good. Best of all, all the staff we met are first rate and take great pride and care in your trip and making things nice for all. Royal Caribbean is no longer the Top Shelf Cruise Line. They no longer pride themselves on great service and food. Most food was mediocre and most staff looked like they didn’t want to be there. Chops Grill was unable to deliver a steak medium rare. They tried three times and it was sent back three times. An Absolute joke, that a Steakhouse that you pay extra can’t cook a steak correctly.

Cruised with 3 friends, check in was easy. 2 interior staterooms with awesome virtual balcony. Room only has 2 power outlets and 2 USB charging slots near central vanity, none in the bathroom. After 30 years of cruising, the Anthem showed this old dog some new tricks and was just right for a multi-generational family cruise. You also can’t go wrong with a five-night cruise to lovely Bermuda, a relaxing gem in the Atlantic Ocean. I recommend this cruise.

PARKING: Getting to park at Cape Liberty in Bayonne was a major chore. After a 4.5 hour drive we ended up spending another hour trying to offload our bags and park just to get on the cruise ship. This was 4+ hours prior to our scheduled departure time. Getting on wasnt an issue, justt drop off and the parking.
