This was our second time on this 5 day cruise to Bermuda. We loved it so much back in May we decided to do it again. It is a short visit to this island nation but we made the most . of it. We enjoy the sea days on the ship, working out in the fitness center in the morning, breakfast in the Windjammer, hanging out in the Solarium, dancing before dinner and more evening activities. We went on the ...

After 5 previous cruises with Carnival, my family & I decided to try Royal Caribbean. We were extremely pleased with our vacation. ( The only drawback was that it was too short !). Embarkation in Bayonne NJ ( Port Liberty ) was easy ( no waiting ). This was the same with disembarkation ( and there was no problem with our Uber driver picking us up ). Our cabin (10578) was forward. We were ...

Embarkation went quickly and smoothly. I drove from South Jersey, pulled right up to the curb where they took our luggage and then drove right into the parking lot. Once we entered the building we went thru security and were met with a RCCL rep with an IPad who signed us in and we proceeded to board. We went directly to Cafe Two70 where we signed up for IFly and NorthStar. There were plenty of ...

We were going on a five days cruise from Baltimore to Bermuda. The day before we left we got a text and e-mail that due to Hurricane Florence the ship was now going to the Bahamas. We were given the option to cancel. If you went on the cruise they refunded 50% of the cost less taxes to your onboard account to use. Whatever you did not use was refunded back to your credit card. They were also ...

Great hardware. The loud music and Appleby's cuisine is disappointing

I wanted a cruise close to home not requiring an airplane flight. Ports did not matter. Grandeur is a human scaled ship at 74,000 tons, not too big, not too small. It also has a proper boat deck promenade where one can commune with the sight, smell, and sound of the ocean. This feature is eliminated from many recent builds. The ship: I really like this ship based on the overall feel, the ...

We had traveled on RCCL before and wanted to revisit Bermuda with friends. The hurricane changed that we went to Nassau, Bahamas. RCCL had notified 2 days before and offered to give us a credit to be used on a future cruise. We opted to go. Excursions were posted on the ship to Nassau, we chose the Glass Bottom Boat, very nice. However the hurricane persetied and we were told our 5 day cruise ...

This was my first time on Royal Caribbean. I have cruised with Carnival over 16 times. I have been told that I should not judge Royal Caribbean based on this ship, so I will try to bring out as many positives as I can. I do have another one booked on the Anthem of the Seas, so I will reserve a more general opinion of Royal Caribbean after that cruise. Here are my negatives about the Grandeur ...

Chose the ship for activities for my teenage grandchildren felt not enough for them to do on our usual celebrity ship. Itinerary suited for their first cruise. First time did a local departure so it was advantageous with children not to have to fly. Embarkation from Port Liberty was smooth and impressive. Treatment as a suite class getting on board was also pleasurable. Disembarkation in ...

Embarkation was the best experience. Completing paperwork ahead of time ensured a smooth quick process. The ship is laid out poorly. It always felt crowded. Our balcony cabin was comfortable however the balcony was next to the bed. On previous cruises on other ships the sitting area was next to the door. Food in the restaurants was wonderful however, the lines to get into the restaurants ...
