Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Brilliance of the Seas

Our waiter (Gabriel) was extremely funny and responsive. We went to dinner religiously even when not hungry. He was passionate about his work. Toward the end when he came to take our orders we often told him "surprise me" and he never disappointed. Also, Bernie was awesome. You can tell he enjoyed what he did and was very energetic. He was interactive and got everyone involved in Karaoke ...

Overall experience

I choose this cruise because of its destination and ports of call. One of the ports of call was cancelled and replaced with a different port which was very disappointing, in addition we had to pay $40 to get transferred from the ship to the land, which was not fare. The spa needs improvement because steam room was not working most of the time. The Brilliance of the Sea ship was not what expected, ...

We would give excellent ratings to our cabin, stateroom attendant, food and wait staff in the Windjammer and the main dining room. Breakfast was quick and tasty with something for all tastes. Also the entertainment staff, we especially enjoyed the evening game shows, lots of belly laughs. The destination, Western Mediterranean, was beautiful, educational, exceptional. We traveled with 2 seniors, ...

Great ship, generally happy

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Freedom of the Seas

Family and friends holiday. This ship is great, we had very little criticism other than a poor selection of shops, this was an opportunity for the ship to make a difference, as we as a family love to shop. The brands and selection was poor. The food in windjammer could have been hotter, but the staff were helpful. Massage in spa was great as the four of us spent $600 but the Staff in spa are ...

The Destination was perfect for a 7 days Vacation. The Cabin and Dining Experience was perfect. We did not expect it to be this good, I am a frequent traveller but this is my first time in a Cruise, they clean you room in the morning and also in the evening making sure you have fresh towels and your bed and bathroom are always clean . My Daughter loves the Flowrider, the staff there was very ...

Great Itinerary, adequate ship

The cruise visited locations where we wanted to explore. We had sailed with Royal Caribbean before and liked the ship and the cruise line. This time the cruise did not live up to prior cruises. The entire experience on ship was a constant upsell, and it was not an inexpensive cruise. I booked private excursions and paid less for private cars and drivers than I would have with great big bus ...

ROYAL CARIBBEAN HAVE LOWERED THEIR STANDARDS

Having been on a large number of cruises with RC, Princess, Fred Olsen and others, I feel qualified to say that I know what to expect, and all the pros and cons of each one. I always preferred RC to any other, but after this latest cruise, I have seen a lot of changes and not all good. The larger ships just have too many people to cater for. The food is good but not like it used to be. They have ...

This was our first time on Freedom of the Seas but we love this class of ship hence the reason for booking the cruise. Have been on the Indy at least twice and the Explorer. We were on the Jewel last year but much smaller and didn't really like the layout. My husband was recovering from treatment for a serious health issue so our intention was to relax, enjoy the food in the restaurants, the ...

Saying Hi again to the best old friendly FREEDOM

This cruise was excellent with pros and poor cons. I will begin with a few cons 1. I hated the up sale of everything from your next cruise to the tackiness of factory rejects marked at the most ridiculous retail prices to make out they are the best bargain only or room to negotiate within two days a further reduced or further discount promised. 2.I hated the fact when your special needs ...
