Wonderful mid size ship, great ports!

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Brilliance of the Seas

We started in Barcelona for three nights before embarkation, I highly recommend this because there is so much to see here. Getting on this ship was smooth and we quickly got to our Family cabin in front of the ship. This room was oddly shaped but roomy. There was a storm the first night, so instead of Cannes our first port was Toulon, France. Not my first choice, but we made the best of it by ...

Took our daughters on a Med cruise as a graduation gift for one of them. She chose the itinerary and it proved to be a good one. One port (Cannes) was cancelled due to rough waters and we would have had to be tendered in to port. Too rough for that. This was replaced with Toulon, France. A good replacement and Toulon was an interesting port to visit. All the other ports were satisfactory. The ...

It has always been my dream to see the Greek Isles and this cruise offered that as well as several other ports. There were six of us traveling, 2 adults, 1 teen and 3 children, and there was something for everyone both on and off the ship. The ship is lovely, rooms a really nice, we have made the decision that we need to move from 2 rooms to 3 rooms, but we were able to be accommodated very ...

We selected this cruise because of the long list of ports of call. The opportunity to visit so many countries and still have a few days to relax at sea was very appealing and the cruise did not disappoint. Our favorite destinations were Rome and Santorini, where local guides did an amazing job introducing the history and culture in a fun and friendly way. The shore excursion team provided great ...

Great ports, OK ship

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Brilliance of the Seas

We chose this cruise strictly based on ports. We wanted the mix of Italy and Greece. We selected a balcony cabin, 8508 to be specific. It is the very front balcony cabin, meaning we were the furthest front balcony on the 8th floor. The ship is smaller, so I don't know if it was the size of the ship, the Mediterranean sea, or being in front of the ship, but you did feel the ship rock and ...

Thought I would share my experience and my thoughts on this Ship. This was our fourth cruise with Royal previously been on Oasis, Freedom and Anthem. The cruises were all previously in the Caribbean so when we booked we wanted to see how a Med cruise would differ and also this being a slightly smaller Ship than we have been on before. Heres my summary and observations Boarding the Ship was ...

The worse cruise we have been on

We chose this cruise because in the brochure it looked very nice, with a large pool, and as it was our 25th anniversary we chose accommodation with a large balcony. The accommodation was quite nice with lots of cupboard space and although we asked for twin beds we had a large king size - the bathroom was very small and if you are a big person the shower would be impossible to fit into. The cabin ...

First International Cruise - the ship taken makes all the difference

We chose this cruise because of the destination to Greece. The ports of call were beautiful and we did all our shore excursions through Royal Caribbean for convenience and variety of choices. As Emerald members, we experienced a little disappointment with the ship. The headline entertainment wasn't as high quality and because of a sensitive plumbing system, our stateroom bathroom had a smell to ...

Went with my mother (81yo) but found some of the distances from ship to shore difficult for her. Was disappointed that water was not supplied to the rooms. It cost $US2.00 per bottle. Wifi had to be purchased and that was about $US178 but connection was excellent. Staff on board were very friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them. Dining was fantastic and waiters were incredible. TV ...

Awesome Med cruise

First time to tour the Med, so the reason why this particular one was chosen, got to an amazing range of ports. We had 3 days in Barcelona before boarding the ship, amazing city well worth some extra time there before or after your cruise. We rolled up up for boarding around 12pm, on the ship by 1220 or so, was a super quick process. Went for the Brilliance after last sailing on the ...
