Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Brilliance of the Seas

30th anniversary cruise. Items ordered for special occasion did. It show up on time (instead of a bottle of wine every 3 days 2 were in room when we boarded) so much for continual surprises that were planned. Shore excursion to Pompeii was a mess! The Royal representative who was with us said it was the worse guide he had ever seen. He yelled at several of us, lost more than half the group on ...

We are RCI customers, like the feeling of experience, professionalism and service we get from them. We've done a few cruises, so we know by now what to avoid (photos opps!) and what to pay attention to. We received the service and entertainment expected, no complaints with the actual cruise experience, both were fine. Having a balcony really made a difference as you enjoy the experience more. ...

We booked this cruise because we were travelling with a group of 10 ages 5-75. The ship is old and tired. The cabins look like they are from the 70's with the bathrooms being in terrible shape. The cabins and hallways smell awful like urine. My bed pillows had to be exchanged for new ones because of the awful smell to them ( I thought it was my husbands stinky feet at first). I found a peanut by ...

We chose this cruise as the itinerary appealed to us.....as our first cruise, we didn't want to spend days at sea in case we didn't like it! The itinerary offered us 5 different ports in 6 days so it was ideal. In addition, as we were travelling with our 11 year old daughter, we found the family friendly activities offered onboard appealing. When we first arrived at Barcelona Port to embark ...

Because of short distance to start Harbour. Then the cruising time date. And another important reason was the cruise line. Starting our holidays we explore Barcelona for one and a half day. The embarkation started with problems. Our Seapass- cards wasn't ready and we have to spend a lot of time at the desk, waitin for this cards. Still waiting, we recognized we was not alone with this ...

We chose this cruise as a graduation gift for our granddaughter...we were looking for a cruise with particular ports (Barcelona, Rome) and had some timing constraints, so this was the cruise we landed on. it was great for her (19 years old). The shows were good and the ice show (which I don't think was advertised or talked up near enough) was excellent. We spent some time at the FlowRider, around ...

We were on this cruise because friends had signed up while on a previous cruise and asked us to join them on this cruise. We flew to Barcelona a day early and spent some time exploring before we went to the ship. Embarking was very well organized and went smoothly. Since this was not our first cruise we were not surprised at the size of our cabin! But, we had a balcony which was a lovely addition ...

Having cruised before on Allure, Anthem and Indy I was a little apprehensive about a smaller ship however the Brilliance was lovely. Some of the chairs in the public rooms are a little tired and worn and the sunbeds are the old style ones I haven't seen for years (they are horrendous) however I know the ship is due for update shortly. The staff were all charming, friendly and attentive with our ...

We chose this cruise for the specific itinerary and were not disappointed - we got pretty much what we expected. The ship is in great condition and very well maintained (replace the dartboard, though!). Service was generally friendly and on point, food was good-but-not-great (the steakhouse isn't worth the extra money, although it is nice for a change of pace - the Italian restaurant is a ...

We have sailed with RCC before. We (couple with two grown children) enjoy knowing the routines, the crew and the ships amenities and accumulating the points, of course. We chose this particular cruise because we were trying to find an itinerary that almost replicated our honeymoon 25 years ago. Embarkation was smooth and quick most likely because of when we arrived approximately 11 am but rooms ...
