Time to leave RCL

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Brilliance of the Seas

This was our 12th and probably last cruise on RCL. we have cruised 14 times, including 5 times on the Brilliance of the Seas. Overall, the decline of Royal seems precipitous. As their ships get larger, everything else seems irrelevant. We had an enjoyable three days in Barcelona prior to the cruise. Embarkation was fairly quick, as we are Diamond members. I would note that overall, they ...

First cruise-certainly not last!

We chose the cruise because of the destinations only, being two older women who did not want to drive in Italy or be worried about public transportation. We had never cruised before and did not know what to expect, so we loved waking up each morning in another beautiful place-will definitely do it again, although based on destinations, not a particular ship. Everything was great, my only complaint ...

To be fair my comments ard review are.a comparison to our previous cruises wth RCL. It's several, years since we cruised with RCL and the cut backs were strikingly obvious. We have cruised 13 times so have a fair knowledge of what to expect onboard and more recently have enjoyed cruising with Celebrity, giving Oceania a miss as we have thought they might be too small....this cruise has ...

Had a lovely time and enjoyed our itinerary. The ship needs to be refurbished as it is getting tired and needs an update. The Staff were all very nice with the exception of the some of the Bar Tenders who were not that friendly and seemed uninterested or just tired not sure which. The marketing on board was too much, from the minute you arrive they are trying to sell you stuff. I did not ...

We had a wonderful time on our cruise. The ports were fabulous. Then, the first night of the cruise (we were doing my time dining), we had a wonderful time with the people we had dinner with (who we did not know). The ship allowed us all to change times for the rest of the cruise so that we could all eat together every night and reserved a table for it. It really made for a fabulous cruise. ...

Oceanview cabin showed it's age (#4024). Couch was well worn, wood was chipped and paint in bathroom was chipped as well. We had a problem with the safe, it often took up to 10 tries for it to lock. Also, the phone cord was so tangled that whoever called us could not hear us when we spoke. We really enjoyed our meals in Chops Grille and Izumi! Our meal in Giovanni's Table was awful and their ...

Chose this cruise as it was offered through Aldi and on offer. Went with my dad (he is 55 an I am 28) and it catered very well for us both. I didn't have any previous experiences and therefore didn't know what to expect but nevertheless everything was up to standard in terms of rooms, services, food, staff, and activities. The only negative thing would be the prices of the shore excursions. They ...

Great itinerary, not great execution on board

We chose this cruise for the itinerary, but a good friend of mine has been on this exact ship 3 times and raves about it. Admittedly, he has much younger children, so really enjoys the kid-friendly options on the boat, but we were whelmed with the overall service, failure to accommodate food allergies and a failure to abide by prior arrangements made with "special services" for a medical issue. ...

returned on Sunday 27/08/2017 and had the most wonderfull week on RCI Freedom of the Seas. The only negative we have is that Royal Caribbean used Jet2 Airline which we found uncomfortable with slow service and would not fly with them again. Crew however, were friendly and attentive. 1st port of call. Marseille we were looking forward to this port of call. However, due to an incident in the ...
