Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Freedom of the Seas

I'm not intrested in excursions at all. I wanna have fun and be amused onboard, but I didn't. Must of the activities in the Cruise compass ended up in som sort of selling. Tragic. Ok, the ship is big, but have to be updated. The cabins seems too be furnished in the late 80's. The bathroom felt like a plastic box. It's not very easy too take you from point A til B, up there, down there, ...

Great public areas, great food, small cabins.

We chose this cruise as we had never cruised before and the Western Med seemed like a great destination. We booked our flights through Royal Caribbean and they booked one flight with a Iberian number, one with a BA number and both ended with us flying with Veuling. This caused some problems booking seats etc. and I can see no advantage to booking with RC than booking direct. The ship itself ...

We chose this cruise because we were travelling to Europe and thought it best with 2x children to do a cruise rather than Eurail with our limited time. Lots of people recommended Royal Caribbean as the ship to cruise with if you have children. However, I found that since we were out of the US and European school holiday times, there wasn't much catering done for the children, in that no-one in ...

Group of four seniors between 72 and 80 who don't want to miss anything. Great ports of call, so getting up 6 am five days in a row! It would have been nice to have a sea day in middle, and yes we could have stayed onboard, but as said, how can you not go out and see the sights when you have only one opportunity? Saw some amazing sights on shore, Rome is not to be missed, and enjoyed our ...

A med cruise has been on our bucket lists since we studied Greece many, many years ago. (Way before Brad Pitt and Troy!) This cruise was everything we asked for. The ship was wonderful, the staff attentive and gracious, the food generous, wholesome and delicious (and we avoided the speciality restaurants). The weather and ports were exactly as advertised and we got what we had imagined. That ...

This is the first time for me as a solo traveller, and this, was the best cruising experience I have had, all staff very friendly, food was great as was all the services I received. Great variety of food, drinks and entertainment. I would recommend dining room for dinner and windjammer for breakfast and lunch. I think that if you could not find food that suited your tastes, you must have a diet ...

7 wonderful days in the Mediterranean!

First of all it was my first cruise, so I cannot compare it to other cruises. We were on the ship just the two of us - me and my wife and it was our honeymoon. The embarkation went smoothly and despite there were a lot of people, we didn't wait for too long. Don't bother to bring an iron, we did and so did other guys but it's forbidden due to fire hazard. So they'll see it on the X-ray and they ...

Wonderful Itinerary, Accommodating Service, Dated Rooms

We chose this particular cruise due to the dates and the itinerary. The rating was good and quite accurate. Other reviews were accurate in their description of the ship so we got what we were expecting. Nice ship, rooms were clean but older, food was good. Specialty dining sometimes better than the main dining room, but main dining was also good. Service in the main dining was well ...

We choosed to cruise with Royal Caribbean due to past experience with this cruise line. The Freedom is a very nice ship The cabin was very confortable and a good size We used to go to the main restaurant for breakfast and dinner. The 3 floor restaurant is very nice, great food and service. A few times we went to the buffet, the food was good but we preferred to be served instead to go and ...
