Living in Baltimore area this was a good choice as didn't have to worry about sometimes unpredictable air travel to Miami or Ft Lauderdale. Embarkation was a little slow mainly because of TSA once through there we were in our cabin pretty quickly. Disembarkation took us a lot less time than we had budgeted, but our ride managed to get to the terminal 40 minutes early which was greatly appreciated. ...

We were glad when the cruise was over.
Started out poorly when Royal Caribbean made an unwelcome itinerary change at the last minute which cut Bahamas portion short. It was billed as a Bahamas Cruise but we were only there about 10-12 hours.

We love the size of the Ship, the Baltimore location, the friendliness of the staff and overall vacation experience for the cost. We book a Jr Suite and use My Time Dining. Specifically chose this cruise to have access through the port of Baltimore. Such an easy boarding! The ship is the smallest of the RCCL fleet but the ride was great. This was my first RCCL cruise. I wanted to compare it with Carnival and a cruise we took last year on Carnival Freedom.
Even though the ship was smaller, I really enjoyed Grandeur. We had great weather heading down there, but ran into 12' seas on days 10&11. I could feel the ship rolling, but not enough to induce any motion sickness.
