Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Grandeur of the Seas

We chose this cruise because it was a 12 day and it was economical to cruise out of Baltimore. We stayed overnight the evening before the cruise at the Best Western on O'Donnell street. It was a great deal because they provide transportation to the port and back and parking for the length of the cruise. The shuttle service that the hotel uses (KD Elite Transportation is excellent. When we ...

we chose this cruise , as we have traveled with rccl before , but since our last one ( 4 years ago ) their standards seem to have dropped ! , mainly in the dining experience , they are too quick to try and sell speciality restaurant dining , the meals were not presented well , very little variation in vegetables Way too much emphasis put on the selling of art / diamonds when at ports of ...

We liked the itinerary very much: St. Thomas, Antigua, St. Lucia, St. Kitts and St. Maarten. The 6 days at sea are very relaxing, too. The staff is great - so friendly! Since the Grandeur is an older ship, you can't see your bill on the TV and have to brave the lines at Guest Services to get a printout. Other than that, we don't mind an older ship. We're not really into all the bells and ...

Sailed March 24 - April 5, 2018 - 12 day Southern Caribbean... Beautiful mid sized older classic ship, was properly maintained and kept clean, with a fantastic cruise director and his energetic staff, also had great ship entertainers, singers and dancers, with up to date lighting and sound system throughout the ship, and to top it off everything seemed evenly spaced and spread out so it never ...

This cruise was picked for a group because of the itinerary. We travelled from the West Coast of Canada so our expectations were high. Embarkation went very smoothly as one of our group had priority status. We were given early access to our cabin and our luggage came along very quickly. We had a balcony cabin but it wasn't much larger than the Oceanview cabin our friends had and there was ...

We go every year, but this was the first time we did the east coast. The Resturant was great. The shows was great also and the services was nice and the staff was really friendly. The ports that we went to was excellent, but we miss one port. Just didn’t like being on the ship cursing for 3 more days a total of 4, I didn’t like that. We cruise with friends and family every year and we always have ...

Previously we had good luck with Royal Caribbean. Will consider other ships in the future. Dining was sub par. Ports were so so. Ship was nothing special. Staff was friendly. Port was easy to get on and get off. Entertainment was average. To many extra charges for every little thing. Internet, parking, drinks, shore excursions, specialty dining, mandatory gratuities. My thought is that ...

Just Horrible -

In a word, horrible. The ship was FILTHY....our cabin was so dirty we had to ask the cabin steward, on the first day, to vacuum and dust. I understand the ship is old, but no reason for it being dirty. The food, at times, was inedible. The service in the dining room and the bars was not acceptable. In the dining room the waiter/busboy kept giving our table the incorrect meals. Drinks orders ...

Not what I hoped for - Suite 4000

My destination was the ship, but the itinerary included Charleston, SC, Port Canaveral, FL, Miami, FL, Nassau, Bahamas, and Coco Cay, Bahamas. Coco Cay got cancelled for safety reasons, as the water was very choppy and they only expected it to get worse. I completely agreed with the decision to cancel this stop. Charleston, SC is a quaint old city, full of southern charm and southern ideals. ...
