About the Reviewer: I’m in my late 30s and sailed on the Oasis of the Seas solo on the October 10th to October 17, 2021 cruise. This was my 48th overall cruise and my fifth with Royal Caribbean. I booked under an amazing solos rate for a balcony room. This ship was chosen due to its size and the lower passenger counts and amount of fresh air venues within the ship. Over half my sailings have been ...
We had a great time on this cruise the only issue was they did not have any post cards or anything for younger children to purchase. Multiple cruisers were looking for these items as well. When we got to the Bahamas a lot of the stores were closed down (most likely due to covid) so we were unable to bring anything back for our grandkids which was a bummer.
The cruise itself was nice the kids ...
WE were on our 50th annivesary with Kids and grandkids .. previous two cruises were cancelled because of covid .
.. The ship was not filled , so I was suprised to see we were not upgraded as we are Diamond cruisers .
Entertainment was sparse , no daily shows in the Amber auditorium ... But Mama Mia was a great show with only 10% of the seats filled .. Food in the main dining room was ...
We chose this cruise because it was a nine day, sailed from Galveston, and we had never been on this ship. We have sailed on 25 cruises with four cruise lines. This cruise was special because we have not been able to do much since March 2020. The embarkation, disembarkation and muster drill were AWESOME. Appointments for embarkation made it less stressful and very organized. Disembarkation ...
We had a fairly good vacation on The Freedom of the Seas. It was our first RC cruise and even though we love cruising, we're not sure if we'll book another with RC. I had originally booked another boat and bought tickets to Coco Cay at a very good price. The company swapped boats and cancelled my Coco Cay tickets. When I asked if I could get them for the same price again, they refused so I had to ...
Long time traveler on royal. Diamond plus. Signature at casino royale.
Ship less than 1/2 capacity. So not crowded. Staff excellent especially in coastal kitchen, suite lounge, solarium restaurant, and windjammer. Staff made guests feel welcome.
Cabin attendant was excellent. Kept room perfect stocked with ice.
Casino was the opposite. Slots not paying off. Worse than any ...
This was our first cruise since January of 2020, with six canceled cruises in between. We have previously sailed aboard the Oasis and Harmony of the Seas, so we were already familiar with the basic layout of the ship. Passengers aboard appeared to be about 25-30 percent of actual capacity, which was wonderful from the boarding process to the departure, and everything in between.
Food in the ...
I love cruising and I have missed it soo much. I was so lucky to be able to book a last-minute cruise on Oasis. I am fully vaccinated plus I just received my booster. My husband and I are both nurses. I am so happy that Royal wants everyone vaccinated and tested except for children who are not able to be vaccinated. It is impossible to write a review without talking about COVID protocols. ...
We were excited to be back on the high seas and it was our first cruise on an Oasis Classed ship. Our last cruise was in 2018 on Celebrity Reflection. We have been on 15 cruises with several RCCL, Celebrity, Carnival, HAL, and Princess. Celebrity had been our favorite up until the last experience with them. We tired of the endless beatings for the drink packages, automatic tips, reduced offerings ...
Oasis of the Seas
Sailed out of Bayonne, NJ on October 3, 2021 on Oasis of the Seas. Excited to cruise again. We had last sailed March 2020 the day before CDC advised not to cruise. On that voyage, one port was closed to us and then San Juan denied us our return debarkation. Scary ending to a trip, but we felt ready now to cruise on a Vaccination Required ship.
First time out of Bayonne, ...
