This is our first cruise post pandemic. Our family of four managed to never get COVID these past couple of years…but the cruise did us in. Our throats felt sore during the car ride home, and 24 hours after that, the more severe symptoms kicked in. I did report it to the RCCL post cruise help desk just in case they’re keeping track.
Ship was very crowded…always lines in the promenade and buffet. ...
In full disclosure, this was my first cruise, so I have nothing to compare it to other than other land-based vacations. I quite literally cannot adequately express how amazing this experience and cruise was. From the room to the crew to the food to the activities it was an amazing trip.
PROS:
1. The crew was consistently amazing. Friendly, helpful, and always attentive.
2. I had an ...
A/c in the cabinets not working , we could sleep comfortly, we were hot. The also the cooler did not keep our water cold, also under the bed it was clean, they just clean around it.
Actvities on the ship were boring, specialty the comedy shows. Pool activities were fun.
STAFF ON THE SHIP VERY GOOD
The ship it kind of old, and the pools were super small.
Our perfect day in coco cay was ...
We were a group of 9 (two families + two singles) who chose this cruise as a "splurge" for a group vacation this year.
I’ll preface by saying this was our first trip on an Oasis class ship, so we did have that “WOW” factor added to our experience.
EMBARKATION: An absolute breeze. We arrived about 45 minutes early but they still allowed us right on. We had an 8 year old (vaxxed) so we went ...
This was mine and my husband's first cruise on Royal Caribbean. We sailed on Carnival Ecstacy in December 2018 and Celebrity Equinox in July 2019. Overall we enjoyed this vacation but there were several pros and cons I'd like to share.
First of all the number one selling point were the shows onboard and we were not disappointed. My favorites were the ice skating show 1977, Hiro the ...
We joined a large family trip with lots of kids and three generations. In short, this is probably a great cruise for a large group and for families but our observations were that this is not the cruise ship for adult couples...at least not one who are expecting a more traditional cruise experience.
To start, embarkation in Miami is total chaos. It is amazing to think that Royal Caribbean ...
Embarkation - A little overwhelming. Very busy and very rushed but also, very efficient. We were on board by 12:10pm.
First Impressions - Wow! Pictures and YouTube videos just don’t do it justice. Beautiful ship that shows no signs of aging. The Royal Promenade was a mad house and trying to make specialty dining reservations at one of the desks was chaos. Didn’t seem well organized and we ...
The ship is huge and there are a LOT of people on board. I wished I had realized the following~
1.) As soon as you board (or before if you can figure out how.....because I could not), book your shows and book your specialty restaurants. If you buy a specialty restaurant "package" you are not allowed to pre-select a restaurant, date and time.
2.) I did know to do the above, and I asked ...
It's been 5 years since we've sailed on Royal Caribbean although a Platinum member.
We went with family including grandchildren that wanted to visit Perfect Day at Coco Cay.
The ship has so much for every age to enjoy. Even though there were 6500 passengers waiting in line was not a problem.
My only issues was two of us paid $1100 total for the Deluxe Alcohol package and on day 4 they ...
We usually cruise on Carnival but thought we’d give Royal Caribbean a try. What a mistake. This ship is old and dirty. It needs a makeover. It smells. The rooms are tiny. The cruise assistants are so unhelpful. Every question we asked we got the response absolutely not. We purchased 2 very expensive cabanas for the Bahamas. They didn’t put us next to each other and told us we had to ask ...
