Initially we were enticed to sail on the Ovation at relatively short notice due to a great deal that was being offered on a Balcony Guarantee cabin only a few days before the sail date. For those new to RCI Australia, don't get sucked in by the sale 'countdown timer' on the RCI website when booking, I can guarantee that as soon as one sale finishes another begins so don't feel pressured to buy ...
Our son organised a group of 24 family and friends for this cruise. Twelve being first time cruisers.
We’ve completed over thirty cruises and this was up there with the six star cruise we did a few years ago. The staff, food, service was second to none. Everyone of our group had a fabulous time throughout the entire cruise, our Suite was lovely and clean everything we needed was catered ...
hi we just finished our 9 night cruise on Explorer Of The Seas and we had a great time. the main reason for having a great time was mainly due too the fact that we had a large group of 31 people with a mix of both adults and kids. some of us have cruised before, my family cruised on the carnival spirit 3 years ago so we could compare it to that cruise. so firstly we could not fault any of the ...
We chose our Cruise on Explorer of the Seas primarily because it fitted our criteria of being on a Cruise departing Sydney to Celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary, which ended up being the day of departure on the 15th of January 2019, it was a first time Cruise for my wife and I, and overall as an experience we had a great time, there were a few things about the whole experience that were a ...
This was the only way we were going to experience New Zealand and the itinerary was excellent! We are now Diamond Class mostly from cruising with sister company Celebrity and it did make a difference with speedy boarding, our own lounge and free drinks added each day! If we had known that we would not have paid for the drinks package! However, there is continual pressure to up-sell to speciality ...
We are a family of 6 and wanted to do a January cruise around New Zealand. Statistically, January should give us some smooth sailing across the Tasman and fortunately it did. Radiance Of The Seas were offering some good prices on a one-way cruise from Sydney to Auckland. This was our first cruise with Royal Caribbean, first cruise to NZ and the biggest ship we have been on.
We flew into Sydney, ...
I loved New Zealand, scenery was beautiful, that was the only good part of my trip.
This ship is old, smelly & tired looking. The water slides & climbing wall advertised were only open for an hour once a day on port days and an hour twice a day on sea days so it was near impossible to use these amenities unless you wanted to line up for a couple of hours for one go - not my idea of fun.
My ...
Really impressed. The cruise was amazing. So action packed and busy. a full ship but the only time it felt busy was at the end of show times or when queuing for north star and flow rider. We had a ball and want to book again.
Boarding was very chaotic with all boarding slots between 1200 and 1330 being called at 1130.
Disembarkation and tendering on ports was fast and efficient.
Dining. ...
First time cruiser. Stayed in grand suite 6234. Do not have one bad thing to report. Our concierge Bing was fabulous and looked after our every need on the ship. Disembarked before everyone else at Noumea which was pretty good. Room amenities fabulous. Bed nice and soft (not too soft). Shower fabulous, robes a nice touch. Lots of room on the balcony. Definitely didn't get cabin fever in this room! ...
My family and I took our third cruise in Jan to the South Pacific. This was a shorter 8 day cruise with only two port stops. We would have preferred more but thought that since it's a big ship, there would be lots to do so on that basis we thought that the limited stops should be a worthwhile trade off.
Unfortunately, trying to get onto any of the activities on the boat was a real challenge. ...
