We flew into Shanghai and were driven straight to the cruise port (previously arranged with 'China highlights' - who were excellent). We then had to stand in queues for nearly three hours to board the ship, so many processes. My husband and I chose this cruise as we really wanted to relax on a cruise and enjoy the sights of Japan. What we got was an overcrowded cruise which was geared towards the Chinese market, the trips off the boat were rushed and we saw very little of Japan.

We have been on 5 or 6 RC cruises previously and thoroughly enjoyed every one of them, so much so that we have stayed with them for our last series of cruises.
