Cabin 110

Even though our cabin was one of the least expensive ones, on the lower level, we could not have been happier with it. It is the same size as most of the rooms on the upper levels, and we find that we actually prefer being on the lower floor because there is not as much traffic in the hallway. There was ample closet space, with plenty of hangers, which delighted me! Our cabin steward explained where everything in our room was located, and how to use the television and cooling systems. The marble bathroom was spacious enough for a ship's bathroom, and the bedding was very comfortable.

Our room was immediately at the top of the steps from the front desk, but noise in the corridor was never an issue. Being an older ship, the River Princess has two drawbacks: there was only a French balcony and the bathroom is a bit smaller, but neither of these things bothered us much. The Danube and the weather were most accommodating, giving us plenty of time to sit on deck and enjoy the view. The decor and cleanliness were very much in keeping with what we have come to expect from Uniworld. Our room was looked after twice each day, once in the late morning while we toured and again during dinner.
