Our suite was in excellent condition & well maintained by Charles, a very helpful, friendly & personable chap. Enjoyed the space & the super comfortable loungers on the balcony.
Plenty of storage space & many hangers in the wardrobes. Liked the separate large shower & jacuzzi bath, but alas we did not use the latter. Plenty of towels, & toiletries were constantly being replaced, as was the ice. Cannot fault the service provided by super Charles. Beware of one thing....one mirror looked as if it came from the crazy house of mirrors, but caused us mirth every time we stopped at it ! Read entire member review >>
We loved the experience with concierge, priority tenders, special little greeting breakfast and surprise plates in our room! Room was so lovely, we ate in our room 2 nights! Just stunning view and balcony set up! Read entire member review >>
CABIN. The Owner's Suite was in a clean condition and adequate for a couple, with bathrobes inside the ample wardrobes. The sofa bed was just as comfortable as the main. The spacious bathroom sported a Jack and Jill basin, hairdryer, toilet and bidet plus a spa bath with separate glass shower cubicle. There was a television opposite the main bed plus one in the lounge/dining area. With a bit of persuasion, the user-friendly safe accommodated a 10.1 inch iPad tablet. Underneath was a mini-fridge which was a glorified chiller. The balcony housed two padded sun-lounges. The pre-paid items ordered by telephone a few weeks prior did not arrive in our suite until Stores was prompted to deliver them without delay by our helpful Concierge. Read entire member review >>
When I opened the door, I thought wow! The bathroom is Devine with spa bath, glass shower, double bowl basin and even a bade. Plenty of room to move. The cabin itself is spacious and lovely.. We enjoyed spending time in our suite after each says outing.. Here's a tip too guys that I was so impressed.. If the bed is too hard, speak to the lovely Daniella and she will organise the mattress to be softened or visa versa..The attentiveness of the help is second to none .. Our guy Joel was amazing! We cannot thank him enough for catering to our needs...The Vip package is well worth the money if you are after the being spoilt experience! Great seats with shows, the concierge was a great place to meet other cruisers and we enjoyed going there daily. We loved our home away from home... Once again our only gripe was the creaking of the roof when the seas are a little rough...Close to pool area but being the front of the ship can be a bit of a walk at times, but then it's advantages is its very private too.But well worth the extra money if you like comfort! Cabin is extremely large with a huge separate sitting room. Balcony is also very large with two loungers and two small tables. Decor is uninspired at best. Cabin is forward on the ship but reasonably close to the elevators. For those with mobility issues, it is a decent walk to the Centrum. Good news is that, given cabin location, there is no "traffic" outside your door. Cabin is directly below the pool deck so you hear carts being pulled across the deck starting very early in the morning. That can be annoying. Read entire member review >>
Obviously, I had to pay the money to have a little more space. I have spoiled myself with suites in the past and it is hard to go back to some of the other categories. The wife and I like the separate spaces the the suites offer because she can go to bed early and I can stay up and watch tv or whatever and it doesn't bother her. The cabin is what you would expect of a OS cabin, all the nice amenities, even a bade in the bathroom. My wife is a fan of the jetted tub.The room is large, it is on the starboard side of the ship right next to the royal suite on deck 8 in the forward part of the ship. Our only gripes about this room is that, (1) it is right over the Windjammer, so there is noise of rolling carts and of things dropping at different times of the day and night, and (2) there is this creaking and popping noises in the ceiling panels while the ship is at sea, and there seems to be something loose in the bulkhead between this suite and the Royal Suite....constant knocking. Having one of the 5 Owner's Suites, 8012, maybe our expectations were too high. The Royal Suite next to us had, for some incredible reason, a player piano in it along with a lot of guests. The first two days, they played the piano at high volume with the balcony door open. My wife couldn't read from her Kindle and I couldn't hear my iPod. My wife took the high road and called Guest Services. The folks in the cabin couldn't hear the phone ring because of the music, so Guest Services sent Security; the music finally stopped. Then they did it a second day, and my wife called, and I went to Guest Services and said that if it wasn't resolved for the rest of the cruise, I would solve it. No more player piano.
Our cabin had a nice jacuzzi which worked well, as well as a bidet. I have no idea if the bidet worked, and just took up space as far as I was concerned.
The cabin is right below the Windjammer and we constantly heard noise from chairs and tables being moved, along with very early morning cleaning.
The balcony, being of an older design, has much less privacy than newer ships, with significant gaps between the screen and the superstructure.
All-in-all, I would probably sail on the Rhapsody again, although not pay for an Owner's suite. Not enough value in it. Read entire member review >>
