Star Flyer Family
Children are welcome onboard any Star Clippers ship, but there are no facilities or programming geared toward kids on Star Flyer. So far, the cruises in Polynesia have seen fewer tots than other Star Clippers itineraries. On our trip, there were four families with children; most were teens, with the youngest onboard aged 10. The younger kids had a fabulous time inventing their own pool games and ordering virgin cocktails (what exactly is in a virgin margarita?), but did earn the evil eye from some less tolerant older guests when their play got a little too loud or their splashing too wild. I expected the handful of teenagers to band together on this ship full of adults, but they actually stuck with their own families. This cruise would be best for children who enjoy beaches and water sports and who can entertain themselves onboard without organized activities and big-screen video games.
