Pearl Mist Overview

Pearl Mist is the first ship from Pearl Seas Cruises. The ship sails unusual and interesting itineraries to the Great Lakes, St. Lawrence Seaway, Canadian Maritimes, New England and the Caribbean.

With only 210 passengers, Pearl Mist falls squarely into the small ship category. Cabins range from 302 square feet to 580 square feet, and each features a private balcony -- most have sliding glass doors. Cabins include full-sized bathrooms, flat-screen TVs, hairdryers, safes, toiletries, phones, private climate controls, minibars and DVD players. Wi-Fi is available and complimentary throughout the ship. Each cabin includes two twin beds that combine to form a king bed. Accessible cabins and singles cabins are available.

All meals are eaten in the main dining room, which has set times with open seating. Meals generally are prepared to order, and special diets can be accommodated. Complimentary room service also is available.

Pearl Mist features six lounges, a lecture room, a library with books and board games, a fitness center, computer workstations, onboard medical services, one main lounge and a putting green. It also includes a sundeck atop the ship with lounge chairs and tables (no pool). An elevator services all decks.

Complimentary cocktails and hors d'oeuvres predinner are included in the fare, as are wines with lunch and dinner, coffee and espresso, and snacks throughout the day.

Room service is available onboard.

The line brings in experts to provide insight and perspective on the unique destinations Pearl Mist will visit, and they lecture onboard throughout each cruise.

The Pearl Mist is an accident waiting to happen. The average age passenger is somewhere north of 75 and many of them use walkers, canes and wheelchairs. The current lifeboat procedure calls for passengers to "muster" in the dining room on the ...continue

October 2014

Definitely not a "luxury" cruise. Room 227 was extremely noisy and nothing was done to alleviate the problem. Food was average for a ruby Tuesday's type of chain restaurant. The BBQ oysters resembled hockey pucks, the oyster Rockefeller was ...continue
