As with its identical fleetmate, Century Legend, the chartered Century Paragon inaugurated in 2013 offers luxury river cruising along the Yangtze River. Designed in pursuit of a “green, low-emission and sustainable environment,” it includes stops to Lhasa, the ancient capital city of Tibet and holy land of the region; the Great Wall of China; and Jiangsu's Gardens of Suzhou, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
The 398-passenger ship features two restaurants, two bars, a cinema, an indoor lap pool with relaxation area and pool bar, a fitness center, spa, beauty salon, game room, reading room, boutique, surveillance system and a variety of classes, such as Tai Chi, folk dance and Chinese calligraphy.
The ship has a propulsion system that minimizes vibrations and noise while increasing maneuverability. The ship is also equipped with surveillance for safety and security. Each cabin has a private balcony, sitting area, mini-bar, bath tub, complimentary Wi-Fi and satellite LED TV.
Upon arrival, passengers receive complimentary fruit baskets. They also receive complimentary coffee, tea and 24 hours a day a complimentary cocktail reception before dinner each night (excluding the captain's farewell dinner); one complimentary sauna visit; dining in the Executive VIP Restaurant with complimentary wine, beer and soft drinks at dinner; concierge services; and express check-in and check-out.
