Launched in 1993 but renovated in 2008 and 2009, Panorama is a three-masted sail cruiser that can accommodate up to 49 passengers.
The boat's 25 cabins are spread out across the upper, main and lower deck. All upper and main deck cabins have windows, while lower deck rooms have portholes. Cabins are available in three categories. C and B are located on the lower deck with each cabin offering twin beds or a double bed. A cabins are located on the main or upper deck and offer either twin beds or a double bed. All cabins are air-conditioned and have a TV, mini-fridge, direct dial internal-use telephone, safe deposit box, hair dryer and en suite bathroom with shower.
The warm-weather itineraries (think sun-drenched Mediterranean and Adriatic coasts) mean that lots of emphasis is spent on time spent outdoors. An aft sun deck with loungers and chairs is available, as is a swimming platform for dips in the aquamarine waters (when weather and anchorage permit). Water sports equipment such as kayaks and snorkeling gear are available on request. Indoor areas consist of a lounge with a small library and comfy sofas for relaxing with other passengers. The bar and restaurant are located on the main deck.
The passenger mix on board most of Variety Cruises' ships are roughly 40% American and 60% European, with a handful of Australians as well.
