AmaVerde Overview

AmaWaterways' 162-passenger AmaVerde debuted in 2011. The boat, which is marketed predominantly to Australians, sails itineraries along Europe's great waterways, including the Rhine, Mosel and Main.

You can expect the following on an AmaVerde cruise:

The line offers nearly all-inclusive cruising. Beyond the cruise ship standards -- food, accommodation, entertainment -- there's wine and beer with dinner, unlimited Internet use, guided tours in each port, and about 20 bikes available for solo onshore exploring.

Standard cabins are 170 - 235 square feet. All cabins have "Infotainment" setups with flat-screen TV's, Internet access, and movie and music libraries. The Violin and Cello decks feature the line's new "twin balcony" cabin setup, which consists of a French balcony and a separate outside balcony. Cabins on the lower Piano deck feature picture windows right at the water line. There are also four 350-square-foot suites, each of which includes twin balconies, a large bathroom and a mini-bar.

There are two lounges on AmaVerde -- a large main lounge with a bar, piano and dance floor and an observation lounge, both of which offer panoramic views of Europe. The sun deck features a heated pool with a whirlpool and a “swim-up” bar, a walking track, a putting green and bicycles for solo exploration. Other onboard amenities include an elevator, a "fireside" library, a small fitness area and a beauty and hair salon.

Passengers have multiple dining options aboard the AmaVerde, including the main restaurant, Verde Fine Dining, serving Continental cuisine, and Bella Cucina, which offers classic Italian options. Another choice is the 24-seat Erlebnis Chef’s Table Restaurant, at which a private chef prepares a special tasting menu. There is also private dining in the Wine Room and an al fresco bistro on the Sun Deck on select days.
