Viking Fontane Overview
The 112-passenger Viking Fontane sails along Europe's Elbe River on 10-day land/cruise trips between Berlin and Prague.
The ship, which was built in 1991 and fully refurbished in 2010, offers a restaurant, lounge and bar, sun deck, sauna, stair lift and laundry service. Cabins are equipped with private bathrooms, air conditioning, telephone and television. During the $2 million refurb, the line added 8 200-square-foot deluxe cabins with French balconies. The 48 standard cabins are on the small side -- 135 square foot -- but all have outside views.

The Fontane is an older smaller ship so be prepared for a room that will remind you of college. Twin beds are common but the room are well appointed and every space is well used.
