Azura Family
P&O Cruises may have initially promoted Azura as a real haven for couples, but during the summer in particular, the ship has been pulling out all the stops to cater for families and children. Situated at the aft of the ship on Deck 16 are four main areas for kids: the Beach Hut for 2- to 4-year-olds, Frontiers for 5- to 8-year-olds, The Hub for 9- to 12-year-olds and Apartment 16 for 13- to 17-year-olds. Activities run throughout the day from around 10 a.m. until pretty late. (We noticed staff looking after some hyper youngsters at about 11 p.m.!) There is also a night nursery for babies.

As on sister ship Ventura, Noddy also makes an appearance during cruises. The sports court on Deck 19 features a golf net, cricket stumps and footballs. During the day, the children's club staff hosts various competitions on the deck -- so if you are planning on a relaxing sunbathing session nearby, think again!
